Reviews of Warrensburg Animal Hospital
"TL;DR they take advantage of you, don't go here. We had a concern about our dog having a sensitive area in her mouth that she would whimper and wince when we tried to touch it, so we schedule an appointment here to have her be seen, and gave all of these details at the time of scheduling so they understood exactly what we were there for. Red flag #1: We arrive for our appointment and right away they try to swindle us into getting vaccines saying we weren't up to date after we have given them our vaccine history that shows our dog was up to date. Red flag #2: When our dog was seen, she was checked everywhere EXCEPT her mouth where we were concerned about. After asking about it, the vet mentioned that the vet that deals with teeth isn't in today. So why were we scheduled for an issue with our dog's teeth when the teeth vet wasn't even in? Red flag #3: During the check up, the vet administered a temperature check to which he loudly voiced "101, she has a fever". I didn't know the normal temperature ranges of a dog at the time and didn't have phone service to look it up so I trusted his expertise, turns out 101-102.5 is normal temperature. Because of this, they heavily encouraged a $55 CBC blood test to rule out infection, and also forced a $16 bottle of anti-inflammatory pills to help with the nonexistent fever. Red flag #4: I called afterwards to clear up the issues I had with being swindled about the fever, and after asking to speak to the vet, he doubled down stating he said 102.6 temp (literally .1 off from normal, just to back his case that he was right to do all of the additional stuff). I know he said 101, and I even wrote it down, and instead of owning up to the mistake he talked down to me that I misheard. All in all, we paid $124 to not even be seen for our issue and completely taken advantage of."
"Catherine King was a fantastic veterinarian. We just moved to town and had to lay our baby girl to rest. She was the first vet we had been to that showed us compassion and kindness in such a long time. You can tell she truly cares about the animals. She made an extremely difficult decision easier. I'll be using her services as long as I'm able to."
"I went in to get a litter of puppies tail’s docked and they totally botched them!! On top of that, they charged me $10 more per dog than they quoted me and their quote was already the most expensive one before they changed the price on me. I actually was going to switch from my usual vet because I really liked the female vet I had seen previously, but now I would never go back. Definitely don’t get tails docked there! Looks like we did it ourselves! They are not even cut straight!"
"Very helpful with my old lab a few weeks ago and with my young pup today. Truly appreciate your safety protocols during this pandemic. As we recently moved here, we didn’t really know the best choice, but we are very happy with this clinic."
"They are great here. They handle people and pets with care and kindness. Our three little barkers always cause a ruckus, so they let me hang outside with them while their lobby was busy. They came and got them one by one. Plus, they are fairly priced and have four vets and usually three staff during busy periods."
