"I just want to say they have a terrific baby unit team and high wrist team. Everybody's so nice, respectful and accepting me and my wife and my child are grateful and the family is grateful to have a wonderful, caring staff and I pray that they continue working together and making Omaha great. Again just want to say I can't thank them enough to all the doctors, nurses, staff etc. Just want to say thank you for everything you have done for me. Sonia and pelia"
"I’ve never had to go to an ER before but I was experiencing horrendous nonstop pain that became unbearable after 30+ hours, so we went to Women’s since it was the closest. Checkin & both of my medics were great, but the rest of the staff was impolite and very unwelcoming, literally saying “Why are you here? We can’t really help you unless you’re having a baby or bleeding out”. After about an hour, they gave me a pain reliever and I confirmed afterward that the meds prescribed by my PCP were safe with that shot and I could resume those. The NP/PA replied with “well you’re still breathing so I’d say that’s a yes”….not an appropriate comment to any patient. Overall, very disappointing to see with such a beautiful facility and such a high price we pay as patients. I certainly won’t recommend this ER to anyone not having a baby."
"Horrible... there were like 2 nurses that were good. If you have questions or don't want some of the things they throw fits, or make you feel bad. I literally had a nurse tell me when I asked her to not get frustrated, sigh and say well you are declining all the treatments( I gave birth), and questioning everything. Um yeah I get to ask questions... if I don't want something you have less to do. I had another nurse tell me that if I cant move to pick up my newborn by myself, I could t go home to where my support system was at, essentially saying no I don't want to help you pick up and put down your newborn, mind you my vag was so swollen that I could see it drooping down. And my abs are so separated I need both hands to sit myself up and down. This was all less than 24 hrs after giving birth. So I just held my pee and held my newborn for hours until someone was able to come help me, because it hurt too much. I had multiple other nurses tell me that they would go find out info only to never return or I'd have to ask multiple times and not get and answer. I had someone start me on pitocin. Without telling me, then get upset when I didn't want to finish it when I realized what was going on post birth! They also had my signing paper work during painful contractions. No one had asked me what I wanted, what kind of birth plan, what I wanted for my baby, nothibg!!nothing!!! I'm actually traumatized, they caused me to have birth trauma and this wasn't my first, just my first at this hospital. False notes were taken on my charts."
"Me and my wife just had our first baby delivered at Methodist Women’s. The whole process went very smooth, and we could not have asked for a better experience with our first baby. Throughout the process, the entire staff was professional and genuinely cared about my wife and baby’s needs. The overnight nursery was also very helpful for my wife to get some rest. Thank you Methodist Women’s!"
"Ectopic pregnancy removed by my Dr in 2016. Top notch care and everyone was so kind. Nurse Steve was very kind. Last few times I was sent for blood work. There was a man asleep at the "greeting/receptionist" desk. Who sleeps at their desk at 3pm? Usually there are very nice ladies who greet me and help me where to go. 2 times and he's SLEEPING!? A nice lady to the "right" kinda in her own office called me over and told me where I needed to go. She did not look pleased at a sleeping grown man. First time....okay.....two...really!? Thanks to all of the kind staff!"
