"Youngs pool is the best of Overland Park. It is busier than the other 3 pools, but that's because it is so fun. There is so much to do, a potential issue is that if you do not have enough adults, kids may scatter in different directions, hard to keep an eye on. There is a slide tower with 2 water slides: a general winding slide and the "wedgie" slide (tall slide that goes straight down). They have a large, competition pool with 2 normal diving boards and one high dive. Important to our young family is the zero entry pool and the baby splash zone and slide. With all this, there is plenty to do for all ages of kids. We just had family in town, giving our party 8 kids, 4-13. It was super fun."

"I love young's pool. I've been going here for over 10 years. I haven't really had any bad experiences. I have done swim and dive team with them and have enjoyed that a ton. Lifeguards are friendly, front desk staff was nice, and you can tell the value safety. The slides are super fun, I will say however that the straight down one is far better than the curly slide. The diving boards are great, a lot better than some other boards I've seen. The water also feels amazing almost all of the time. There's a baby pool that has a fountain and a small slide. They have quite a few individual changing rooms/bathrooms. Lots of seating, lots of shade. Sadly concessions was removed after renovations."

"2021 IT’S HEATED!!! This is our amazing neighborhood pool and they just added heaters so the water is in the high 70s, low 80s! We came opening day (May 30th) and the next day when it was raining and 60 degrees outside. The water is perfect, not even a bit chilly. I’m not sure what the new regulations regarding COVID will be, but felt like “normal.” We’re sad they’ll be closing early this year (Aug 1st), but we’re SO EXCITED for the new pool house. The cold showers have been brutal. The new hours are 12-7pm, closing an hour earlier than previous seasons. I hope they’ll consider extending those hours into the morning, especially once they finish their pool house upgrades and function as a true state-of-the-art facility!"
