Grass Pad

"I moved here a few years ago and bought a new house with no trees. Grass Pad was recommended to me. Over the last two years 3 of my 4 deciduous trees have died after the one year guarantee. Before they died I took numerous photos in to Grass Pad over a period of several months to see how I could fix them. The trunks looked bad and they were not growing. I spoke with a 3 different men. They all told me that nothing was wrong with the trees. They said it was normal for Maple trees to have bark like I showed them. I’ve had Maple trees for my entire adult life (40 + years) and this was definitely not normal. But, each man blew me off with one referring to me as “honey” in a condescending way. I’m an older woman and I felt I was being dismissed. So, I’ve cut down three trees, lost several thousand dollars and I’ll never go back to Grass Pad."

"My husband is an avid customer. We went to their Fall lawn seminar today (my first seminar) and all the employees were helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend this location! Great customer service and happy employees! That says a lot!"

"Absolutely positively unabashedly the worst customer service I have ever received! I try so hard to shop locally, as well as close to home to support local schools etcetera via taxes. I guess their thinking is that lawn care is a necessity to a degree, giving him a guaranteed business. But I would much rather shop anywhere else and at any prices than shopping here again. This location offers a lot of grass parking. If there is handicap parking, I did not see it. The entrance only had one door open from the front, you would have to come around from the side/exit if you need an accessible entrance. There are lines everywhere and if you've never been there it's really confusing how to shop. There was a line to the door when you first walked in which everone got in, but it was for bulk item purchasing and as people realized that's not the line they are there for they get out of that line to actually shop around. It's very difficult to find an employee to ask any questions that you might have. The lines for checkout are extremely long. They have a very old fashioned POS and also do not take American Express. Not sure what others they don't being, bring multiple options. They apparently just began a rewards program which they are asking everyone to sign up for. They ask you a ton of information which takes a lot of time. Although I understand how a rewards system benefits a business, something this time consuming is a ridiculous expectation when the lines are as long as they were."

"I've been coming to The Grass Pad on Barry Road ever since I moved into a house with my own lawn. Their products are reasonably priced, work well, and the help at the store is top notch. When I was new to all of this, the guys here were extremely helpful in giving me instruction for every question I had. If you need some help with your yard, or already know what you're doing and need some product to put it in, come on down to this Grass Pad. I'm officially high on grass now."
