"Charles Schwab treats costumers the worst. To hold costumers money unfairly. I had asked to rollover my retirement, my account was cleaned immediately. They said they could only mailed a check to my address and force me to transfer it to Fidelity by myself. However they didn’t mailed the check at all. Hold my money for month. I still haven’t gotten my check today."
"I'm really just fed up with the service from TD Ameritrade till now at Schwab never once have I received any thing except the runaround almost a year without being able to log n or get a straight answer as to why Absolutely ridiculous"
"Terrible customer service! I went into the branch to help my 81 year old aunt open an account because there was an issue doing so online. We filled out a paper form there, and the next day she received an email with instructions on funding her account. However, we weren’t able to access the account online. After 5 calls to the 1-800 number, the last person we spoke with told us we had to go into the branch to resolve the issues. So, I called the branch numerous times to schedule an appointment, but it was impossible to speak to anyone. I even called the 1-800 number and asked them to see if they could call the branch and speak to someone, but they couldn’t. So the customer service representative said they would email the branch and ask someone to contact me ASAP. However, no one ever called me. Needles to say, she won’t be opening an account there, and I’m moving my Schwab account to Fidelity. They do not care about their customers, and if you care about customer service, this is not the broker for you!"
"I opened account online on a Thursday. I was able to transfer funds into the account. I bought a stock with $500 I deposited. The account was put on hold for fraud on Friday afternoon. The money has cleared my bank account. Today is Tuesday and I am unable to access my account still and my stock is steady falling per day and no one can give me an answer or an estimated time of resolution. I would never recommend them to anyone. People were nice, but couldn't answer anything. And the people with answers are conveniently unable to talk."
"I am baffled at the experience I have had starting my first brokerage account with Charles Schwab. Started my account no problem- $700 transferred into my account in the snap of a finger. Made my first buy in and invested in a stock to just see what the process was like. I make my purchase and am given a confirmation- yay. Then I am immediately locked out of my investment and my balance as I watch as my stocks rise and fall without me being able to do a thing.. I chat in to find out why I've been locked out and receive almost no help. Chat in several more days running and am generally told that , yes, we let you make your $700 transfer and investment into stock, and then placed a hold on your account that is "standard," I was just victim to "poor timing." I conference in my bank and the SCHWAB rep several times over and they simply disagree completely with each other and they both end the day putting the responsibility on me to find a solution and now I'm still left here with NO access to my $700 investment and no resolution in sight. I would highly discourage anyone looking for an online brokerage to steer clear of Charles Schwab. The multiple reps I encountered even told me they felt poorly at how I was being locked out of my own account AFTER you let me make that investment?... I have yet to get a answer on how that was allowed to occur, only offered free trades here and there for inconvenience -- are you stupid? I can't even make trades b/c I can't access my money!!? Unbeleivable."
