Reviews of Happy Time Daycare
"Happy Time accepted care of my daughter with her feeding tube when she was 3 months old. When she was almost 6 months old they decided that the "trial" basis was over after not securing her feeding tube and then not checking on her for over 30 minutes so they were unsure of how much of her feed she got before it came out. I wasn't thrilled, but I wasn't overly upset about it because I saw it as a learning experience. They did not. They gave me a week to find new childcare (I took both of my children out the same day). They gave a bunch of excuses as to why they didn't have time to take care of her and made assumptions about her medical diagnosis. My child has no developmental or physical issues outside of using a feeding tube. If your babies started around the end of July or beginning of August know that they kicked my daughter out to make room for your babies because two new babies starting was one of the reasons they gave for not being able to care for my daughter. I also figured out on her last day that they were not following instructions about getting air out of the feeding tube line to prevent spitting up. They cited spitting up as a reason for dismissal. Within a few days of no longer being in their care my daughter almost completely stopped spitting up. I've also learned from former employees that at some point since March two children were found with hands in each other's pants at nap time and they did not inform the parents. Unfortunately I do not know which children so I cannot let them know. It happens often where they have way too many children per adult. I have seen them bottle prop babies on at least 3 occasions. They often guilt teachers into coming in while sick. They have some wonderful teachers (Ms. Tiffany and Miss Kristin are some of our favorites that are still there), but their leadership (Julie) is questionable."
"I went to this preschool as a child and was horribly treated. My parents did not believe me because I was only 3-4 years old but, I still have memories that infuriate me to this day. First, there were three preschool teachers, each had a daughter my age. Their daughters had the Froot Loop cereal straws and were handing them out to all of the students, and since I have always had severe ADHD, I did not notice this until I saw all of my peers walking around with said cereal straws. When I noticed this I went to go get one too and two of the teachers (mothers) told me no, even though everyone else got one. My second horrible experience was when we were watching a movie and I was talking to my friend so one of the teachers HARSHLY grabbed me by my little arm and said "you need to stop talking" in the most rude, disgusting tone while looking at me with a disgusted look. So my three year old self said "okayyy" and sighed. This woman had the audacity to say that I rolled my eyes at her (keep in mind, I had no clue how to roll your eyes or what it was.) She then proceeded to tightly grab my arm and basically drag me to the "principles office" where they sat me and a chair and forced me to read a book. KEEP IN MIND I WAS STILL LEARNING HOW TO SPELL MY OWN NAME. And I had to miss out on my favorite day of the week, when the man would come and teach us songs and dances. There was also an instance where they switched my jacket with a girl with the same name, and my mom was infuriated because that was a rather expensive jacket for me at the time and the other mom lied about it even though my last name was in the jacket. They let her take it... The bathrooms do not have stalls. I do not know about you, but I did not enjoy going number two while sitting next to three other girls with the little. boys watching from the hallway. It was humiliating.. My only reason for giving this place one star is because they had very good sugary, pudding and chocolate milk. I attended in 2006."
"VERY happy with Happy Time! Very caring staff and they actually learn things here, its not just your typical daycare. Only one negative thing is that the place has an overwhelming cleaner smell. Good to be clean, but my childrens hair, clothes, coat, etc come home smelling like it and it lingers all evening. So i’d say its a bit excessive."
"All three of our children attended and graduated from the pre-k program at Happy Time but stayed through the age of 13 in the before/after and summer programs. We prayed for a good faith based daycare and our prayers were answered BIG TIME! The teachers are and have always been warm and friendly. The christian curriculum is amazing! It felt inviting every time we walked in and always smelled good. That is saying a lot when it comes to daycares!! Prior to our first daughter starting at the age of 2 she was at an in-home. Although it's a bigger facility it still had that "family feel". We have gained relationships and memories that we will carry with us forever. I am sad to say that our children have aged out, but will be moving on with a strong foundation thanks to Happy Time!"
"Some of the nicest people I've met. My daughter who had issues with wanting to go to daycare actually enjoys her time here. Also they are very well priced"
