As soon as I turned in all the paperwork and the invoice was paid, she stopped responding to my calls or emails. I do NOT recommend going through this poor excuse for a lawyer, unless you want to have your money taken for nothing. If you look up "DIY Divorce KC" on Google maps you'll see I'm not the only one with this experience, and Shea Stevens seems to have closed up shop and moved onto a different firm with no attempts to even reach out to past clients whose money she stole. Shea Stevens, you should be ashamed of yourself. I came to you hoping to put an end to an extremely difficult and painful time in my life. Thanks to your thievery and neglect, I haven't been able to close off this chapter of my life. You're a fraud, a thief, and a terrible human being."
