"The owners of the building are slum lords without a doubt. Every negative review posted is totally warranted. Unfortunately the owners could care less because regardless of their actions they know nothing will ever come of any allegations of misconduct. These guys own a lot of commercial property in St. Louis which makes them a cash cow for the city as far as property taxes go. The city of St. Louis has no plans of rocking the boat. A lawsuit against the city would probably bare more favorable results than one against the property owners. In most cities these guys would never get away with such unethical behavior however the sad fact of the matter is that the city is just as corrupt."
"I currently live here and unfortunately have regretted the decision to move in from the moment I did. To start, for the first two weeks they were working on the floor below me and all I heard from 8am-4pm was a jackhammer going ridiculously loud at the concrete. I checked the decimal level with my phone and it was at 93 db inside my apartment. You couldn’t even think. You would think this is something they might mention before moving in. Also did not receive a key for my apartment until I had been there 24 days. Had my car broken into 4 times in 7 months (in their gated paid parking that has no cameras whatsoever) until I was able to secure parking underneath building. Apartment has flooded 3 times (Luckily I was home so the damage wasn’t too bad) The heating/cooling unit is from 1986. It has a Freon leak that needs to be refilled every couple of weeks or it’s useless since moving in. And getting them to come by and fill it is a joke. And even when it’s “functioning properly” it has to run 20 hours a day to keep it around 72 in my apartment in the summer. Which really helps the electric bill. Bugs are rampant throughout the building. Of course the elevator issues that other people have already talked about where the fire department has to come and get tenants out. Happened 3 times in one week one time. And when you ask management to address any of these problems you eventually end up walking away and deciding it isn’t worth the trouble. Cannot wait to get out of this place when my lease is up since they make it damn near impossible to leave before. I have not met one tenant who was happy with this place. If you’re staying at an AirBnB here for a couple nights I can see how this place might not be too bad. But I’m writing this for anybody considering moving into this poorly ran slum loft hell. PLEASE heed my advice and just don’t. That simple. Don’t."
"Please do yourself a favor. Check into these thoroughly. Black mold everywhere. Bathroom flooding. AC units not working and landlord won’t fix them. Maintenance will not do anything. Roaches are all over building. No possible way any of these units pass code. Terrible living conditions. Talk to any of the tenants. No one is happy about their decision to live here. If you try to move they threatened you with a $5,000 fee and they will destroy your credit. Tenants are currently forming a class action suit against owner of property and landlord. STAY AWAY"
"My wife and I rented an apartment here through Air B&B. I must say it was impressive. The place was huge. The windows looked out to The City Museum. It had chairs attached to the ceiling which you could sit in and swing. I felt like a kid again in this place. It had a washer and dryer in the apartment too. My only complaint is the day we got there and unpacked all of our stuff the elevator broke. My wife was pregnant at the time and I was healing from a broken pelvis. The apartment was on the 7th floor which meant if we wanted to do anything that we had to walk up and down 7 flights of stairs."
"Elevator is consistently broke as well as the garage door. It takes for RESIDENTS to make repairs to the garage door if it’s broken. There is a leak from the roof. There’s trash near the entrance of the garage for residents. It’s nearly impossible to get in contact with the leasing company to make a complaint. I do not recommend moving here AT ALL !"
