"I went in today and enrolled my daughter into 8th grade at Lansing Middle. I cannot say enough about Mrs. Martina Crisp. I was so worried it was going to be a struggle to get my daughter into the right classes but instead Mrs. Crisp made our visit a wonderful welcoming experience. She took care of my daughter as she were her own or at the very least had known her for years. Throughout our visit she continuously commented on how well she thought my daughter would do at the school as if she knew that was exactly what she needed to hear to build her confidence and calm her nerves. She then proceeded to give us a tour of the school and introduce us to those we passed. By the end of our visit even I wanted to enroll! We have moved several times and this is the first time in 12 years that we have felt so welcomed to a school. Thank you Mrs. Crisp we are looking forward to a wonderful year!"

"Any school that takes children out of a learning environment to change into used school sweatpants for a "clothing violation" with out letting the child contact their parents, or at last calling the parents themselves, for a change is using those sweatpants to teach the child a lesson. It is humiliating for the child and counterproductive to their education. That girl was covered from neck to toe!! This school needs to readdress their policy!"
