"Neighborhood use to be really nice. Now it's like living in the projects. Thank God it's getting cold outside. Neighborhood teens walks around with Big Ar guns during the summer days. Hanging out in the parking lot smoking weed and all other activities. Letters are sent out, it will die down for a week then right back to the usual."
"The manager Merissa is by far the worse manager the complex has had. She does not care about the tenants and has no sense of urgency about anything. She never answers the phone nor office doors unless it's the beginning of the month and time to pay rent. Work orders go weeks maybe even months before they are addressed or repaired. This complex has gone down hill, use to be really nice. My apartment in the school building was infested with mice and roaches and nothing was done other than them stuffing holes with steal wool. Numerous of calls were made to file a complaint and nothing. I had no choice but to move, it was so bad they were in my refrigerator stove they took over my apartment."

"I lived at this property for 2 years. They never answer the phone they don't handle business professionally. All my maintenance request took longer that a week to get fixed some didn't get fixed at all. I had a leak in my window they were suppose to hire contractor to fix it. When I moved out the window was still not fixed and had my carpet soaking wet. They have misplaced my security deposit 2 times and have No sense of urgency to try and correct the problem. There turn over rate for employment is high and they don't have good selection in their hiring process either. I have had a problem with the front desk receptionist Zhane and her attitude as well as the attitude of the on call maintenance staff as well. I have called corporate several times left several messages and all they do is transfer you to the property. The keys to my apartment locked me out of the building and my home every month for one year and inconvenienced me. When the on call maintenance came that informed me they can only let me in there was nothing they could do until Monday when the office opened. So I had limited access to my home over the weekends. When I called on call maintenance on a couple occasions they told me to wait until the office opens. They showed me a property infested with roaches and said they have had bigger problems and they could bomb the apartment. The communication is the worst and this experience was not only stressful but very unprofessional. I have moved out of this apartment 2 going on 3 months ago and still have yet to receive my deposit. I have to come to this property every day to speak to anybody and the property manager is never there. They DON'T answer the phones and they have a thousand excuses. I would not recommend this property to anyone. This was one of the worse rental experiences in my life and I don't see this property becoming any better!"
"Lived here for five years, overall the experience started off really well but over time went down hill. Staffing changed often and the quality of care went down. Maintenance stopped picking up trash, stopped making repairs in a timely manner and Yolanda Yancy has the worst attitude ever No etiquette compassion or professionalism whatsoever, she makes the entire team look bad. She banged on my door in a very confrontational manner along with Zhane to inform me that I will be receiving a lease violation because my 15yr old daughter was outside watching my 8 year old play. I understand that there are rules, but geesh there are way more things going on around here that should be addressed than a tenant with a great 5year rental history. After 5 years and no improvement in the run down impoverished drug infested community plus horrible treatment from staff I think it's time to go. I submitted several work orders for minor request ( changing the battery in the smoke detector)(changing the filter on the ac unit) which has yet to be completed. I inquired about having my carpet cleaned since that's something that's supposed to be done annually but I was told by Zhane to "tell the property manager" I don't understand how these ladies are allowed to work in this setting with such horrible attitudes and lack of professionalism. I was later informed by corporate that Yolanda Yancy is NOT an employee of McCormick and Barron and should not be knocking on anyone's door morning confronting them about anything. I was informed that they have received several complaints about this individual and are currently investigating these incidents involving her, She is a community specialist who's job description is solely to engage the community with resident meetings and to help with job leads. I was given her supervisor contact information at Urban and I will follow up with this because this is absurd, and even more so now that I know she is not even employed by McCormick and Barron..you give people a inch and they take a mile..smh"
