"I lived at VAB for 3 years- 2.5 spent in a 1 bedroom and .5 spent in a 2 bedroom. First and most importantly: for the price point, this apartment complex is fantastic. I always felt safe here, and the 1 & 2 bedrooms fit my needs for when I was there. Not to mention, free parking in a garage (note: yes, some people drive a little crazy in the garage- not management’s fault and they have signs asking people not to speed/park in bad spots). Very large bathrooms, high ceilings, and big windows were fantastic. I had a balcony in the 1 bedroom and it was great. I’ve seen some comments below and I will say for me, deliveries were easy & secure. I had my carpet cleaning scheduled once & completed. Were there a few maintenance / updates I wish would have been done faster, sure, but the employees can only work with the tools and resources they have available. All maintenance men, bug sprayers, carpet cleaners, and office staff were always courteous and kind, and usually offered a smile, too (Karen’s smile always brightened my day!) one “downside” is the elevator is only in the garage which may or may not be close to your building. But, it’s 3 floors, so it usually wasn’t an issue. Move out and getting my security deposit back was a breeze too, which is always a plus. Very good experience overall, I would recommend if you’re looking for a reasonably priced apartment in the heart of Brentwood within perfect driving distance of downtown/Soulard/west county/Maryland heights. Thanks to all of the VAB employees who made VAB home for 3 years."

"I’ve lived here about 15 months . The apartments are nice enough with a good location to almost everything STL has to offer. However, be aware that trying to get service for your apartment is almost impossible. I have had 4 carpet cleaning appointments cancelled in a row! Management had no reason to give but let me know I could hire my own people t do what is a complimentary service for residents. If you are the type of renter that will stay to yourself and not need help with maintenance issues, this is a good choice. However, if you expect assistance with an apartment issue you can’t do yourself, perhaps look elsewhere. Clearing up the timeline- 7/26,7/29,8/2,8/16 are the dates I was cancelled. I rejected the 8/27 date as I saw no need to waste the day again. We did not have floods all those days. Appreciate the offer to pay for the cleaning,"

"BEST PLACE TO LIVE IN STL! The staff is so accommodating and warm. I've lived here on and off for 7 years. They've gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and safe. They are responsive and professional. The units are large and well maintained. The residents are mostly professionals who are quiet and polite. The pool is a great place to hang out during the summer time too. Excellent place to live and a great value!"
