"I went to view these apartments and had a positive experience. I received a courtesy call to remind and confirm my appointment. All my questions were answered, the staff member showing the apartment was very kind."
"Horrible first impression. I had a tour scheduled a week in advanced for today 06/15 just for me to get there and no one is there. Their office hours claim to be monday, wednesday, and friday but google says something else. Its frustrating especially because I got a tour confirmation confirming my date and time. Not a good look."
"Old, out dated facility with a lack of amenities to justify the recent price increase. The facilities were built in the late 1950s and can not maintain a consistent internal temperature. I pay $120 a month in the summer time to cool a 900sq foot 1 floor apartment with the temperature set on 74°. The air conditioning runs non stop in the summer time due to lack of insulation, outdated windows, and insufficient frame sealing. Same goes for the winter months for heating. Our utility closet where the W&D reside does not have an exhaust return for the dryer to utilize, so all of the heat and lint produced just stays in the apartment. Management does not take recommendations or initiative to implement improvements to the common area. (Ex. Simply placing a trash can near the picnic tables). There’s hardly any in unit lighting, so be prepared to buy lamps. The standard apartment owner thinking, ‘paint over any defect’ was implemented 15 layers of paint ago. Parking is a daily recurring nightmare. The facility is under new management, but is seeking a substantial price increase for no justification other than, ‘new owners’. For the amount they’re now asking for rent, you can either rent a brand new (or newer than 60 years old) apartment/house and actually benefit from your monthly payments. Sure, they MIGHT do renovations to justify the increase, but let’s face it — why would an investment company spend money on something that’s already making money? Make the renovations (if any) and THEN there’s a justification for price increase. We were made aware of the price increase at the beginning of July, when our lease was up at the end of the month. Previous management was avoidant and not receptive. The only pro about this facility is the school district. That is absolutely it. Ladue schools have been fantastic for our little one, but unfortunately we now are being forced to move. Everything related to the actual unit(s) is unsatisfactory. Renters prepare for dissatisfaction."
"Ok so why would a manager Chuck make an appointment with me a week in advance and the day of the appointment not inform me that they have rented all apartments after telling me they will have the perfect apartment for my 73 yr old mother and I in September. When I get to the office he states he is in a meeting and rented everything as of Friday of last week. What a waste of my lunch when all he had to do was contact me so I would know not to come. Communication is the key to a peaceful life. SMH!"
"I have lived her now for about two months. Pros: great location right on the edge of midtown and right on Olive, hard wood floors, real tile floors in kitchen and bathroom and the walls of the shower, in unit washer/dyer hookups and the units are a fairly good size (my two bedroom has a hallway to give a little context of the size). Cons: management tries to avoid you, floorboards come off the floors about 1/2 an inch (probably because at one point there were carpets throughout the units), the fridge in my unit smells like spoiled milk, getting them to fix things has been a pain AND as I said I've been here for 2 months and theres already been multiple things that have needed to be fixed. I'll update review if this changes, but as of now they are docked two stars for lack of attention to tenant needs. Everything else has been pretty good. New management, things have improved! Rating increase from 3 stars to 5."
