"My stay here has been dreadful and I really wanted to like it. I will keep my review short and sweet and list some of my experiences below. Pros: -Walking distance to great little restaurants -Highway Access Cons -as mentioned in other reviews, sound travels and not in a great way. You will hear your neighbors above, below, to the sides as well as the train when it passes by at night. Another thing to mention is the amount of loud cars that pass by speeding. -The garage leaks on every single floor no matter where you park. The water from the leaky garage will stain your car very badly that a regular car wash will not get it off. (See photos below) - The water pressure is very bad. This doesn’t matter if you use hot or cold water it will be very weak. -If you have dogs there’s not really any great places to take them outside as there is very little grass besides some patches here and there. There are bags for placed at stations but oftentimes you can find them to be empty of bags and overflowing in the bins. Overall for the price it’s not worth it. Very little amenities lots of things that need repairs. Only thing that makes it bearable is the location."
"I have been living in the complex for about 5 years or so but just recently moved to another unit within the same complex due to rising rental costs, etc. I had a ground level apt with an updated floorplan that I lived in for 4 years or so until I had to make the decision to leave or pay the increased rent costs. I made the decision to leave, which was heartbreaking because I love the Kirkwood area and the people, but lucky enough, the management team at Kirkwood Station worked with me and found me a base-model unit at a more affordable price per month. I couldn't be happier where I am - Adam and Wendy along with the whole maintenance team are very professional and efficient."
"Do not recommend living here. The management has consistently dodged any and all concerns. The smoke detector in the 200 S. building hallway to the condos has been beeping steadily for 2+ months. The garage ceiling leaks a white semi-permanent residue onto the parked vehicles when it rains."
"Rather unimpressive complex. Management and property owners gave insufficient reason for their actions related to building security—overall dismissive of real concerns we had regarding homeless individuals occupying the stairwells (yes, that creepy under-staircase area) and urinating in the elevator (smelling for days on end). Community members shared experiences with these issues—mind you, single women and the elderly—between each other and management yet never once was a notice posted on the messages board in the apartment app where “community” announcements go. Our particular situation was such that we could only use one elevator which I found a homeless person in twice (in addition to sleeping under the stairs). Absolutely no sympathy for my wife and child having to use that elevator while I am on military orders (we have a dog that naturally needs to go out with baby and stroller, morning and night). We had to leave the apartment because of this and eat the early termination fee. Again, not one care given to the sensitive situation. We were told security was being hired but such and such date, which never came to fruition while we were there. The shipping delivery situation is a pretty big mess, packages everywhere most of the time and unclear directions (or none at all) as to how to get to which apartment. Just bank on delivery people not caring enough to find you and losing 1/5 deliveries in the complex. The whole place only has a few people in charge. They either don’t care or don’t have the power to care, it’s hard to know."
"Into my 11th year living in Kirkwood Station Plaza. Multiple reasons I have zero desire to move beginning with the amenities, tenants I call family, and the the 5-star service led by Property Manager, Adam Alexander, and office staff. Maintenance is second to none. Though minimum reasons for my unit’s needs, maintenance is consistent with prompt service requests. Not once have I had safety concerns, nor of heard of any from my neighbors. The lobby of the leasing office is polished as if you’re in a 5-star hotel lobby. Unlimited coffee bar is available 24-7, fitness center will save you time and money for your workouts; while on the treadmills, fitness walls include cable ready TV’s to catch a talk show, movie, or Cards & Blues game. Need a place to meet for date night? Off to the side of the front lobby, offers a ping pong & pool table; Plaza Station comes with a tenant only entrance for your garden bbq. Leasing lobby is anchored with a fully stocked kitchen for your shower and meeting spot to say… take the Amtrak to Herman. A walk to all needs includes: Hair & day spa salons, unlimited eateries, bakeries, coffee shops, medical prescription needs, shopping, the Kirkwood’s Farmers Market and let’s not forget catching a show literally walking distance to our new 26 million dollar Kirkwood Performing Arts Center, and Kirkwood’s Magic House. Need more entertainment? Join us on Thursday’s at Station Plaza’s front courtyard for weekly summer concerts too. Need secured parking; all tenants are provided secured tenant parking key fobs. Hey, did I mention there’s fully furnished guests rooms too? And, have a pet? Your pets are welcome, as throughout the campus offers doggy bags for your pet’s doings. Hey, I’m on Floor 4, be encouraged to join our floor for our monthly potluck in the garden ~ sincerely, Jerry Stros"
