Essex Community School, located at 111 Forbes Street in Essex, Iowa, is a vibrant educational institution dedicated to providing a quality learning environment for its students. Recently, members of the National Honor Society had the opportunity to visit Des Moines, where they toured the Governor's Mansion and the Capitol. The students were treated to a special choral performance under the dome of the Capitol, showcasing the amazing acoustics of the space. They also had the chance to walk the rotunda, adding to the highlights of their trip.

The Essex FFA Chapter recently celebrated National FFA Week with a series of fun activities, including a Farmer Appreciation Breakfast. Students and staff participated in themed dress-up days, such as dressing like a farmer and wearing blue and gold to show their FFA pride.

In addition, students from Essex High School excelled in the individual speech contest, with Ashon Kline advancing to the state competition with his entry. The school is proud of all the students who made Honor Roll for the first semester, recognizing their hard work and dedication.
