"I was referred by a friend and thought I'd give it shot so I got signed up for a call. I did not end up moving forward and I'd like to share my experience as to why. Upon registering, I was asked to get setup with a credit monitoring service in which I was unable to complete to what seemed like errors on the site. I had received a few text confirmations of my call time/date which were correct. However, On the day of my scheduled call, I had received multiple messages that my call was an hour earlier than scheduled. After some back and forth via text, the person I was to meet with was insistent that my call was 1 hour earlier than scheduled and 1 hour earlier than the initial confirmations. I will note, that I did not receive any email confirmations or calendar invites for the call - which further led to the confusion. The person I was to meet with told me they tried calling multiple times and left multiple voicemails, none of which I received. Which is strange, as I use my phone for my business and have never had any issue receiving calls. I was advised to try calling myself, to which I did. Upon connecting, I was advised that I need to sign up for a credit monitoring service and pay the monthly fee. Which is fine, but I havent even had my introductory call to make the decision on wether I wanted to proceed or not. Second to that, these credit monitoring services seem sketchy AF. These sites do not look legit, they have a similar look to cheesy ecom sales pages. Providing my personal identity details on sketchy sites, and paying prior to making a buying decision do not instill trust in me as a customer. This compounded by how the company operates in such a disorganized fashion ultimately led me to passing. The service could be amazing, I will not know. Hopefully this review is helpful in getting your initial customer experience up to par with modern times. With the many technologies available today theres just no excuse to operate in such a poor and disorganized fashion."
"I am personally & professionally acquainted with the founder of Credit Nerds, and I have sent several of my team members to them for assistance. I can not/will not attempt to speak for anyone else's experiences, but this company gets a shining 5 Stars from me!"
"Referred to them by a friend to get the bankruptcy on my credit report removed. I told them from the beginning that is all I wanted and was told that it could be removed. They advertise as a free service but you have to pay for credit monitoring at $40 a month. I was a client for 10 months and paying the monitoring fees but the bankruptcy was never removed. It cost even more with the money I spend to stamps and certified mail cost. Half way through I was assured by Penny who handled my account that because of the way my bankruptcy was listed the should remove it. I was never told that there was no guarantee that the bankruptcy would be removed until after the last letter was send and I was told it would not be removed from the credit bureaus. Karen who is the manager told me this after the fact although she followed my account throughout. Bottom line don’t trust this company. If one person reads this and don’t use their service this review will be worth posting. I would never recommend this company period."
"This company is hands down the best at what they do! They have kept me well informed throughout the process of having the inaccurate things removed from my credit reports that should not have been on there. They provided me with step by step instructions on what I needed to do and checked in on a continuous basis! The negative remarks were removed from my reports thanks to their guidance, professionalism, and efforts. Oh, did I mention my score has improved...goal accomplished! Thanks Nerds!"
"Not a fan of them. My first experience was bad. They told me they couldn’t secure more than $3K in funding/capital for me based on my credit score and history which was a lie. After that convo, within 24 hours I was able to secure $20K+ in credit lines by myself and then secured high tier cards like Amex Platinum and Gold and Chase Preferred. I then hired them for credit repair services. Yes, it’s free, but they are basically an affiliate marketer and receive commission when you sign up for paid credit monitoring at $40 a month. They were not responsive. They were supposed to update me and have a call once a month but I received no information or communication for my last 3 months. I worked on my own credit instead and achieved a 780 score. I paid them for over 6 months and had no accounts removed or change in my credit or score. Today, I have done a ton of research, acquired a lot of specialized knowledge, and launched my own virtual credit repair company. I’ve been mentored and trained by someone who has processed over 25,000 clients in 20 years and sold his company. I have access to technology, software, and shaved decades off my learning curve. The information I have acquired from my mentors who have provided training and software to the biggest repair companies in the world shows me that they don’t do quality work and skipped so many steps. They basically give you 1 rounds of random dispute letters they generate in their portal and ask that you mail them out. There’s 8 core strategy they don’t apply.none of them ever have answers, work from home, and you can’t speak to Eric Counts and Penny sounds like she never has any idea what she’s doing. Stay away from this family run business."
