"I would give this law office a 0/5. they put a lien on my house for my ex-husband‘s attorney fees and included interest and other filing fees in excess of $3600 on top of what was owed. They have taken advantage of a terrible situation. I hope they feel justified in receiving this money. I wouldn’t trust anyone in this office."
"I was assigned Jennifer by our court system. I met with her for 45 minutes and was told her payment in my side would be $1600. This was a custody issue after my divorce was already granted with 50/50 no child support. From September to December 2022. I provided and emailed multiple screen shots, videos and so much more that might help her understand the issues. I can count on one hand how many times she replied even after providing screen shots of my ex wife posting on public social media of things causing defamation of character on more than one occasion. I explained why my ex wife and I got divorced(her multiple affairs with people I called brothers)I also sent an email explaining I had not been granted multiple days with my children that our mediation agreement called for with no response from her. I was granted supervised visits and in the company of a professional supervisor on my first visit said that “she did not understand why I needed them as my children had a bond with me” . I also emailed this to the GAL office and again did not receive a response. In December or 2022 I was told by jennifer she would not give me 50/50 and then given a bill in January 2023 for $1600 more. When I called her office her staff said they could not give me itemized reports because it’s not their policy. I have filled a complaint now with the chief disciplinary office because of lack of response, pour investigation skills and lack of professional ability. I have provided screen shots and emails of parental alienation to which Jennifer does not care to respond too."
"Small in production, small in results, over promises, under delivers, easily pushed around by opposing counsels and GAL's, excels at keeping the clock spinning, and the expenses exponentially climbing, but nothing to show for it, is our opinion and impression."
"According to the Standards for Missouri Guardian At Litems, Jennifer Oswald Brown is an ineffective GAL. The standards state that GALs will conduct regular face to face meetings with the children he/she represents. Standard 5.0 says: Establishing and maintaining a relationship with the child is the foundation of effective guardian ad litem representation. Frequent communication between the guardian ad litem and the child is an important part of promoting the relationship. In a little over a year time period, Jennifer met ONCE for 30 minutes with my fiancé's daughter. She spent very little time and put forth very little effort in doing what was best for the child. If your child's safety and well being is your concern, I would not choose Jennifer to be his/her GAL."
"The choice of an attorney is an important decision. I retained the services of Jennifer Oswald Brown in a Dissolution of Marriage case in 2017. I can assure you to this day I regret that choice daily! You hire an attorney to protect you and your children. Mrs. Oswald Brown did far from that! She did not perform the duties outline in the Missouri Bar Association Rules for Professional Conduct. She looks only for a quick victory, if the matter is disputed she will not carry through to Conclusion of all matters undertaken for her clients as stated in Missouri Rule 4. She will rack up high invoices and leave you stranded without representation just before trial. She also does not represent the best interest of the minor children involved in the case. 3 years later my children and I are still suffering daily by the gross misrepresentation that Jennifer Oswald Brown provided. I do not leave reviews often. But I feel in this case it is extremely important to ensure no other party falls into the hell I have endured over the last 3 years, because of the inept representation of Mrs. Oswald-Brown."
