I managed to make it over to this bookstore for the first time in a few years. It survived the pandemic. Dunaway Books is still a great place for browsing books. "Such a cozy bookstore! It is deceptively big and they have the biggest variety I’ve ever seen in an independent bookstore. Definitely something for everyone. There’s a downstairs as well as a mezzanine. The basement is huge and it took me a minute to find my husband in the back stacks. So many books and crannies! The staff were very friendly. I’m currently eight months pregnant and when we checked out, one of the employees gave us a little ocean magnet set for our future baby boy for free. I thought that was so thoughtful! We would come here all the time if we were downtown more often."

"This is definitely the place to find a good book! Everything is categorized very nicely and the owner is super knowledgeable about helping you find the book you want. They also have lots of chairs for those people who get dragged to the bookstore with a friend who really likes books and takes a bit longer than they anticipated.
