"My wife and I have been without heat for the majority of November, it’s been 25-35 degrees outside and our house has been freezing. We have been in constant communication with the the property manager Kim, the company she works for “Got properties “ and the company they hired to fix the problem. When I called the heating company to see if they would be by to finish the work, they told me that they were still waiting on the owner to approve the work. I’m thinking this is a health hazard, it’s below 30, this should be an emergency. When I asked Kim will there be an adjustment to the rent she blatantly told me no, they couldn’t do that and that she pays mortgage and if her heat went out she would be responsible. I replied we are tenants that are renting and anything that is not ours is not our responsibility, that is even in our contract. We have never missed a payment, we are great tenants and to be treated like this is so unfair. We still haven’t heard from the company to fix the heat but “Got property maintenance” decided to drop off space heaters at our door. Space heaters are dangerous and are running up our electric bill. Nothings has been fixed we pay on time and work too hard to pay for freezing conditions. PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM GOT PROPERTIES."
"We are new tenants. The owner decided to sale to this company and it’s been a world wind to say the least. We have been without heat for 3 weeks now (going on 4 weeks). We were contacted (By Kim S. “The Property Manager” which says HER ONLY job is to tell residents to dos and don’t from the insurance perspective) that we can’t have a trampoline because their insurance company doesn’t cover that for the home (weird and a bit upset my husband took it down). We weren’t even notified that someone would be coming to look around or inspect what we have in our yard. I knew at this point that we would be in for a ride with these people. During that same time we notified the company that our Heat and Cooling system wasn’t working. Kim S. “The Property Manager” stated “she doesn’t handle that issue that would be a maintenance issue.” Well that was strange to us because she just told us about a trampoline but she couldn’t handle or contact the property party to handle the issue (she just gave us the contract and told us to call that maintenance line number red flag number 2). My husband calls the maintenance line tells them the issue and someone shows up in a day or two (looks like a little hope right, nope). One maintenance man tells us that the situation is fixed and It wasn’t. The next person says that the Heating and cooling is so messed up and he has to report it to the company because the work would be over a little under 2,000 worth of work. That company told us that it was so much wrong with the heating and cooling system that he couldn’t believe it passed inspection (so who agrees to buy a property and not have your own inspector). So, he (the maintenance man) reports this issue to the company/ the maintenance department and there wasn’t nothing done. My husband calls the line because the temps are dropping, we are getting cold at this point (he is force to get us some space heaters in the mean time). We reached out again (notice I said WE reached out no one else reached out to us about the heating and cooling problem) to at least get a time frame when this issue will be resolved. The issue is still at hand three almost 4 weeks later. My husband calls me so upset so I decided to take matters into my own hands and call. I call Go Properties and Kim S “The Property Manager” picks up. I ask her what is going on with our situation. She states she is going to call Roger (I guess the guy over maintenance) and he is going to call my husband and I back with further details. I asked how was it so easy to speak on a trampoline and you give us a time frame with that issue but something so valuable as Heat and cooling can’t be resolved in a timely manner. Kim S. “The Property Manager” responses “I handle insurance issues, I don’t handle heating issues.” I asked well who handles those her response is the maintenance line. I asked to speak to someone higher up than her position she replied that would be maintenance. I asked so maintenance is your supervisor? Kim S. “The Property Manager” derailed and dismissed my question and told me I needed to call the maintenance line. I asked her to have someone call me by 6pm with some type of solution or I would be forced to make next steps. I gave it some time and Roger called and stated that if someone wasn’t there (at our residence) by 6pm he would be being space heaters to help keep us warm (told me this morning someone would be by today ho bring more space heaters by 10:30 am). FYI no one showed last night. I call back and Tracy answered and I asked for Kim S. “The Property manager” and she come to the line and I thank her for calling Roger so fast. I ask her so what are we going to do about rent she says rent stays the same that has nothing to do with the rent. Kim S. “The Property Manager” Stated that they couldn’t adjust that. I’m shocked in disbelief (knowing my rights and knowing what I know. I definitely know that you can adjust something that is out our both of our control and the tenet is being inconvenienced in the worst way. I went the holiday season with no heat."
"I got properties are the worst management and maintenance I've ever experienced. They charge to much for rent and all the properties have a big problem then they blame you for it then kick you out The matinaice Guy Roger is racist my mother is on home dayais and accused us of running a drug center. They will be sued of roger is not dealt with."
"Awful people. Maintenance guy turned up the heat to max before I left in the dead of winter to charge me a huge final bill for gas. They tried scamming me for a months rent and tried playing dumb when I confronted them. Also tried raising the rent a couple times than what was agreed upon, and you won't find peace with these guys showing up at your door all the time because they want to look through for some reason and then make faces at your decorations. Typical brown nosers but they can do it legally. Not very nice people who just want to make money and not actually provide people with a place to live. They told me the place was newly renovated and then when I moved in the toilet chain was so rusty it broke within the first week. They took half my deposit to fix it, but taking your whole deposit is actually pretty typical in this area so whatever, you won't see it back. I had two weeks left and they still tried charging me a whole month rent to see if they could get away with it. After one year they tried charging me a second rent and played dumb and said it was a system glitch. Sure, whatever. When I had to leave we were hit with a huge snowstorm, so I stayed a bit more than I was supposed to, and thought that it would be okay after they embezzled my rent money through fees during corona and because the road was unsafe, but nope they tried to call the cops instead. Luckily he just let me stay because he saw they were ridiculous for trying to make me leave in a u-haul during such harsh road conditions. Tried to make a couple quick bucks now it costs them a few tenants instead."
"I have been living in what are now called “Wild Plum Apartments” for almost 4 years and property management is horrible since Got Properties took over at the beginning of the year. I did a review a few months ago on one of the hottest days of summer because it took days for them to really take me serious and figure out why my air wasn’t working. Well here I am on the coldest day of fall and my heat isn’t working. It hasn’t worked since I woke up this morning and I put in a request after doing some things to see if it would help. I received a call from some Heating company saying they’ll be out on the morning. Now me and my family are forced to use space heaters to keep warm over night. Space heater make me extremely paranoid so I probably won’t get any sleep. The maintenance team doesn’t want to do anything. Nothing is considered or treated like an emergency. You would think since the temp is 27 degrees that it would be an emergency but no I have to wait. I was also told that my running toilet is my responsibility because it something that’s not to expense. My hot water heater went out last week and duding the time I was having issues with the heat not cutting on. I finally got it to work but no one ever came to check and make sure it was probably working. I’ve been looking and going back and forth about moving for months but this just helped me make up my mind. I can’t get out of my place quick enough. I was also told cleaning the air ducts is my responsibility. You would think a property would want to keep up the maintenance to avoid spending more money but nope. That falls on me. I’m so tired of feeling like I own the apartment building. My husband has brought to my attention several times that we’re the oldest tenants and people don’t stay there long. There are so many apartment vacant and I can definitely see why. Think twice before renting from them unless your ok with fixing EVERYTHING!"
