Reviews
"I wanted to leave a review, because I feel like this may have helped me before I chose to send my child to Casa Castillo. All of the reviews here are great, and there is good reason. The staff is friendly and the Spanish immersion program is great. That being said, I sent my child here for only three weeks and I knew it wasn’t the right fit. I will say, I only sent my son Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, which I do think is part of the problem. Language immersion only twice a week for a two year old can probably be very confusing, which is something I didn’t consider before sending him. The staff was very accommodating with this, but I do think it is much less common for part time at this facility. The issues I did have are mostly all around communication. Part of this has to do with the failed implementation of a new app (which they are stopping the use of so hopefully things change). But the idea was I would get updates and pictures throughout the day. I rarely received anything, and I never received a photo. Also, the updates were very general, “your child ate some of his lunch” “your child napped”. But, a lot of these updates weren’t even entered until I had already picked my son up. The teachers were very nice at pick up and would tell me how my son was throughout the day, I just was expecting more from the updates than I was given. This may just be my expectations being too high, but in case anyone else is like me I think it’s important to know ahead of time. Another thing that bothered me, but also I can understand may just be policy, was that every time I arrived to pick my son up they would change his diaper. This made me feel like he may have been dirty for a bit and were only changing him so he wouldn’t be wet when I picked him up. Again, this may just be part of how they do it, it was just something that I found odd. We also had an issue with my son’s start date. He was registered ahead of time and then his space was filled without telling us, therefore he could not start when expected and it took me about a week to even get ahold of anyone. Once we spoke with someone they were helpful and apologetic, and took my son as soon as possible. The other big communication issue we had was with our invoices. First we were charged for the week my son was supposed to start and was unable to. This charge was never removed from the invoice and was never fixed. I have had other issues with billing, because the invoices on the app didn’t match what we owed and I was unable to ever speak with someone about this. We paid everything on our bills to avoid a late charge, but the charges weren’t explained and seemed incorrect. When I would call I’d be told someone would call me back, and my emails on the subject were never returned. I don’t usually write reviews, but as I said in the beginning I felt like every review is stellar and I thought it may help to have another opinion. I in no way think this facility is bad or dangerous, I just think there are somethings that may be deal breakers for other parents and it would be helpful to know ahead of time before you sign a contract that takes four weeks to get out of."
"My favorite thing about Casa Castillo: 1. My son comes home happy and calm and rested. 2. The teachers and staff are genuinely excited to see him and its just so obvious they know each kid and care. 3. There's a small group feeling, I think the fact that its literally a converted home makes it feel intimate. 4. Regular communication and Ms. Denise will take of you! 5. We love Mrs. Monica!"
"Amazing experiences. Our son has been going to Casa Castillo Centerton for a year, and they take a very personalized approach to each child. He comes home doing and saying new things every week, and the dual language approach is an enriching aspect. He loves going to school and gets antsy if we are ever running behind to take him to school. He loves the teachers and their excellent attention to detail with the children."
"Casa Castillo is wonderful in every way! They treat my child like family, and I know he is safe, healthy, happy and learning there. We love it!"
