"I've been struggling with a lot of medical and consumer debt for the last two years, and I've experienced a ton of anxiety and shame about it in that time. I finally reached out to CCOA after putting it off for a few months, and my credit counseling appointment was this afternoon with Mark. He was so, so kind as we went through all the numbers, and he gave me a couple options about how I could proceed. He gave me information for all the options, and he didn't pressure me to choose any particular one. That one hour phone call seriously took away all that anxiety and shame I'd been carrying around. He showed me it's very possible that I could have a much different financial future, and he showed me what the next steps would be if I wanted that future.
