Reviews of History of Fishing Museum
"What an awesome, unexpected find. We were staying at the hotel next door and I couldn't help but poke my head in to check it out. So glad I did. If you love fishing, you will be blown away. Give yourself plenty of time too, because there is a lot to see and read. I only had 80 minutes and I could have spent an hour more at least. Bill was an outstanding guide with extensive knowledge of the museum and all of its items. He is clearly passionate about the collection and being the curator of said collection and I thoroughly enjoyed his company and the museum. I hope to make it back here some day when I am not under any time restraints."
"Good experience. Educational for adults and young kids, if kids are into fishing. This museum explained the history of starting bass and flying fish, casting as well. From 1800s to nowadays. Price: There are no tickets in advance. Pay at the museum when first walk in. Public bathroom."
"I didn’t have a whole lot of time in Branson, and the shows/attractions were getting to be too much. I consider(ed) myself very much a casual fisherman, but the enthusiasm of the guide — I can’t remember his name, sorry — was intoxicating! The wealth of information on the historical impact of various tools used since the before times; the carefully curated sections; this experience turned this into a hobby I will cherish for a lifetime."
"Not your every day run of the mill Fishing Museum. You will be treated to a personal tour of the museum curator named Bill who has a vast knowledge of the history of fishing and the tackle used over the ages. It is one of the most extensive personal collections you will ever have the opportunity to view and learn about. The collection contains some very rare pieces and is definitely worth your time to see."
"WOW! What an interesting museum! Bill was able to tour us through and point out the highlights in each Display case. His knowledge was incredible. His Passion was infectious! While there we were able to meet Karl (the mad collector :) which was a pleasure! All items were very nicely displayed. I highly recommend this establishment. Discounts are available"
