"The team demonstrated strong cooperation, and each member was supportive. Kudos to everyone for their outstanding efforts. A heartfelt thank you to all, especially to Celina, for consistently going above and beyond to identify and address needs. Celina, I appreciate your dedication and honesty, you're truly exceptional."
"I have worked with the BCBA and BCaBAs at this facility and I have been very impressed with their work and passion for the children that are in that center. I would HIGHLY recommend Celina, Laken, and Mariah to any family needing quality ABA services in the Leavenworth area!!"
"Very disappointed with this facility. Reading up on Autism and ABA Therapy, states “ The therapist will begin sessions pairing with the child. Pairing will encourage cooperation so the children enjoy therapy. “ABA THERAPY FOR NONVERBAL TODDLERS “ MARY KELSO PAGE 10-11 How can the child achieve pairing and instructional control with a novice therapist when they only have 1 hour intervals with the therapist in training. We would ask for feed back or an evaluation on how our nonverbal child was progressing. The novice therapist would answer” I don’t know, she was not with me. “ they never had answers for our questions. When we did receive and paperwork on her daily all of the therapist in training would write down “ Building rapport or establishing rapport. It is like the right hand didn’t know what the left one was doing! I saw this facility as an over priced day care. Do not go to this facility just because it is close to Fort Leavenworth. For your child’s sake take them somewhere else. All of their offices are close to military installations. They are targeting military families. Please do not enroll your special needs child here. Here are more facilities out there , just do the homework and find the one that is best for your child."
"I do not advise to send your child here and choose another location. I am an Active Duty Army Officer and single mother to my daughter. My daughter was attending Family First at the Leavenworth location for 16 weeks. She is non-verbal and requires assistance for toileting and changing. I started to notice inconsistencies in the paperwork that is sent home every day. Because of the inconsistencies and generic feedback, this initiated my inquiry for progress reports and updates regarding my daughter. I asked for progress report updates from Celina (the licensed BCBA). She became avoidant and did not honor the time she told me to contact her. So due to her delayed messaging and lack of response about progress updates, I decided to go in person and speak about the concerns I had. I was more than willing to handle the parent concerns and questions at the lowest level (with Celina) up until this morning when she invaded my space. We were both seated and when I insisted to ask questions, she abruptly stood up, leaned over, and clapped in my face (loudly twice). In my opinion, she demonstrated intimidation and aggression towards me in front of her staff (two other RBTs). She stood at the doorway leading to the back treatment area and relayed the final message, "You can call who you need to call and get what you need from them. I am done helping you." I attempted to file a formal complaint with the supervisors and executives (Dr. Weiers and Cindy) to hold accountability for this unprofessional behavior. The email from the executives disregarded the unprofessional behavior as ok because Celina speaks with her hands. This behavior is inexcusable by a professional and Behavior Therapist. This only highlighted my concerns further because I have trusted Family First with my non-verbal child for approximately 16 weeks. I lost trust and confidence in their ability to ensure my daughter gets the therapy she needs. I asked her for metrics and she became increasingly avoidant and combatant when pressed. In conclusion, I will be receiving summaries and afforded the opportunity to retrieve my daughters personal items. I urge any family to interview thoroughly many centers before choosing this location. They are strategically located outside of Fort Leavenworth and optimize on military families whose dependents require this type of therapy."
"Recently when seeing your advertisement on indeed it is completely different from how I was treated, may I please ask why? I was only allowed to study for maybe a day in the actual building so I wrote down everything you said Cindy in your training video logs, I still have a notebook full of information front and back, I was given a test to take per your employee and i passed that one as well.. 80 questions I missed 7 and even after the practice test i took multiple more RBT certification online and passed to assure i passed the actual test. I had to cram into maybe 10 hours total what is supposed to be 40 hours training and then the interviewer flew out of the country after accepting my identification so I had a window of 3 months where I studied partial intervals for no reason. No pay resulting in me finding additional employment. I was paid $7.25 and the check spelled my name wrong twice. During the actual test I was interrupted multiple times change of advisors & after I passed the majority of the test I was kicked out at question number 51 after when I had already passed with a 75% and was kicked out. The results are on the BABC website."
