Mosaic Life Care at St. Joseph - Emergency Room

"Not really on the emergency room whereas every time I’ve ever needed to use them they have been absolutely amazing… My issue lies with the hospital in general. One of the times I was admitted and met with a lung doctor. His name was Dr. Kabir and he told me to contact his office anytime I needed to be drained or if I felt like I had a breathing issue or anything like that as I had plural effusion due to cancer. I went to him shortly after being out of the hospital told him that we found an oncologist and the treatment path that we were starting. He did not agree with any of that and because of that told me that he could not be my doctor. his nurse told me that Kabir went to his other colleagues and told them not to take me on as a new patient and told me don’t even try to schedule an appointment with anybody else because they will turn me away (Which means having breathing issues I would have to drive an hour and 20 minutes to Nebraska or an hour and a half to Kansas City instead of 30 minutes to Saint Joe or I would have to go through the emergency room). When I brought this up to patient advocacy, they said that he did nothing wrong, and he is allowed to turn me away as a patient and allowed to tell other colleagues not to take me… It goes against their Hippocratic oath, but OK I was there over the weekend, and my Carhart hoodie and my tank top got stolen… The nurse called security and lost and found nothing was returned so that means somebody took it. When I went in for an EKG I asked to speak to somebody other than Patient advocacy, because nothing ever gets done with them and that’s where they sent me And it’s been a week and I’m getting the runaround… Now they are saying that there was no clothes in the video they watched and it wasn’t documented as a Carhartt hoodie just a hoodie so they don’t know what they’re going to do for me… So supposedly I walked in naked , and that’s just the way that they see it I guess It is literally been one thing after another with this hospital with specialty doctors telling me I’m going to die or nurses doctors telling my eight-year-old. I’m going to die, which then caused a lot of issues and anytime I had breathing issues it caused a lot of trauma needless to say for my eight-year-old where we almost put them in therapy the hospital did nothing about it. They said that it was OK that the nurse told my kid that and that I just needed a parent better… The emergency room doctors and nurses are amazing. The ultrasound nurses are amazing. The hospital staff itself with bloodwork. EKG‘s radiology ultrasound x-rays. All of them are amazing. It just sucks that it’s the specialty people that give that hospital. A really bad name and patient advocacy not doing anything to help a situation or make it better"

"Ask the nurse to have the social worker call me and here we are Thursday . Went to the hospital on Monday . I don’t know but it’s not been the same hospital under the new management. They care for nothing but then me charge you for it. I ended up going to the fish store for amoxicillin! I’m sorry mosaic but I wish I could’ve told a better story of caregivers at the hospital"
