"I bought a new 1025R small tractor from Heritage 18 months ago and it just went in for a mower deck adjustment and I asked them to do the service at the same time. In total, it was over a thousand bucks! I feel gouged. I just want everyone to be aware of what you're in for with John Deere. They were great on the sale, and the service people are knowledgeable, but given the price of the tractor, you're going to be spending more for basic maintenance than the new Mercedes you just bought. The drama continues so this is an edit. I got the tractor back and within minutes of running it, the deck broke and started smoking as apparently some rivets popped somewhere on the deck having nothing to do with my use. It's a product failure. It's been at Heritage another eleven days, and I then find out that the deck only has a one year warranty- of course it doesn't say that when you buy the tractor with the mower. So, another $500 bucks to fix the deck that broke while in normal use and immediately after they were working on it. I'm no longer a John Deere fan and I won't buy another John Deere anything. I was expecting a much better product and better support from John Deere and Heritage. My advice to anyone is to look at other options because John Deere doesn't stand behind their own workmanship. I was warned to stay away too. I should have listened."

"I was involved in an accident and my JD 535 baler was totaled. Came in to get a replacement cost for my baler from Paul. Never received a quote, but got a smart aleck comment about me wearing a S&H hat into their store. They have several used 535s, a 567, and a 568 in inventory I had seen on their website.
