Reviews of Johnson County Historical Society
"Would have liked to have been able to go into some of these buildings but they were closed. Can't comment too much on what might be inside, but the layout of the area was pretty neat. This town is very in love with a dog named Old Drum."
"It's an old building but they don't do as much upkeep as they should for a historical site. They do have quite a few different events that go on during the summer time. The only downfall with these events is that you have to park down the street. They should knock down some of these old houses around it and make it parking lot out of that."
"My friend and I ended up here today while out and about. We had a wonderful time, both with the two ladies that were working, as well as Bill Wayne, who gave us a tour of the courthouse and schoolhouse! Very informative! If I could give 6 stars, I would."
"We enjoyed our tour of the Old Court House and learning more about Old Drum. The tour in the museum was very nice too! Our guide was very nice and really informative! It is $5 for the tour and I think that is fair."
"Lots of history here regarding old drum, the dog. Stop in, spend some time researching history in the museum and you will be glad you did!"
