The Stanley Event Space

"We toured many venues, but ultimately fell in love with the Stanley. We loved the gorgeous three-tiered building, the professional and friendly staff, and the charming down town Lees Summit. Cindy, her husband and Karly were very patient and flexible and answered all of our questions. We had several special requests (special table placements, corn hole on the roof, audio guestbook, specialty cocktails and more) that they were happy to accommodate. One thing that we really appreciated was that they didn't nickle-and-dime us for table placements, decorations, linens, suites, etc like several other venues. Additionally the drink packages were very reasonable and the two bar setup was perfect. The building has a lot of character, and is is configurable to site your needs. The rooftop was very unique and was a nice get-away for our guests to play corn hole and get fresh air. The Aspen room was elegant and exactly the right size. The bridal and grooms suites were very convenient for the wedding party. The balcony was a nice place for our guests to smoke and look out on down town Lees Summit without feeling isolated. The day of the wedding, they seamlessly worked with all of our vendors and followed any instructions. We and our guests were well taken care of. Cleanup was very easy, and they offered to donate our leftovers to the local fire department, which was very sweet. Thank you to everyone at the Stanley for making our day so special!!"

"The Stanley was phenomenal for our wedding needs. They offered a beautiful, classic event space for our less than 100-person affair. We had a rooftop wedding and a second floor reception. It was affordable when comparing other spaces and the value only went up when you take into account that they allowed you use items from the large décor storage room. Michelle was a godsend helping to coordinate the day of for us too. Give this lady a raise! Quirks include hearing the bar next door (it is outside so just be aware of traffic off the street because you are in a downtown setting) and parking was fine although spread out around the downtown area. Overall, I am very glad we used The Stanley. Highly recommended!"

"The Stanley Event Space was the perfect venue for our wedding! We were looking for a venue that had 2 separate areas for the ceremony and reception and they had several gorgeous options. The venue is just absolutely beautiful! Jennifer was so helpful through the process and made planning a wedding seem easy! She was super responsive and answered all my questions and provided suggestions as well. On the day of the wedding, we couldn't be any happier! It went so smooth! Sarita, the event coordinator, was amazing! Her experience and knowledge were key during the wedding; directing vendors, putting up day of decorations, etc... She made everything move so seamlessly! The venue was gorgeous and the staff were so helpful in every way! We couldn't have picked a better venue! We felt so special and would HIGHLY recommend the Stanley event space for any wedding or event!"
