"Had a VERY horrible experience today 3/7/24. Went in for some Amazon returns and one regular shipment. I had 5 packages that I was carrying in to put on the counter. Not sure the employees name but he was an older fellow with partly bald short white hair and white beard. He started off by telling me to put the items on the scale, I said ok. As I am trying to balance the packages in my hands to put them on the counter. He then said “put them on the scale” with an attitude. I said “give me a second to situate myself.” I told the employee that I have one regular shipment and the rest were amazing returns. The first Amazon return he scanned the code from my phone and said hand me a clear bag that is behind you. Not sure why I have to grab the bag for him just to put the item in it. It should be behind the counter for him to grab to package. But I went ahead and grabbed it anyway and gave it to him. He closed the bag with the very expensive item and tossed it into the return box and it hit the wall hard. Of course, I asked “are you good?” Because that is an expensive item. He didn’t answer. He said “ put your phone brighter it makes it impossible to scan” with an attitude. I then gave him the second item and not knowing they all had to be in one package to ship to Amazon. I had already packed them individually. The second item would not scan. He asked “ did you already hand me this item? It will not scan”. I said “no, it must be because it has one barcode for all items.” The employee then let out a very loud sigh and said with a very bad attitude “ these items need to be in one box the ship to Amazon. I don’t know why you put them in individual boxes.” At this point I was very upset about how unprofessional he was acting. It was like talking to my 6 year old child. I said “ok, I am a very easy person to deal with. What would you like me to do.” I tried not to be rude myself but I was already upset the way he was acting. I said “if I cancel my items and have a separate barcode would it make it simpler for you.” God forbid he had to scan a few more items. He said it’s whatever you like to do. He said “ you can pay us to ship it in one box or cancel them I said “ how much was it to ship them all at once. “ As he lets out another loud sigh and shakes his head. I almost walked out with all the items. I was so upset. Ended up paying to have the Amazon returns shipped. If I have to go there again to ship an item and he is available to help me, I will tell him I will wait for the next employee or if it’s just him. I’m not shipping there."
"Chris and the staff of this UPS Store, were very good communicating with me about the shipment of an antique chair. When it arrived today, on time, it was packed incredibly well. I thank Chris and his staff there in Mission, Kansas, my local UPS delivery guy who is always careful and pleasant, and all those UPS employees between here and there for all that was involved in the safe delivery of this piece to me. "After a disapointed review the UPS store owner finally contacted me and he seemed to be interested to get the issues out of the way, so I'm also willing to change my review to appreciate his efforts. First review: This UPS store is a cooperation partner of the KC Auction company, where I bought a poster on auction. They have not managed to send me an invoice for shipping in seven weeks (!). My emails to both parties also went unanswered. This is not my definition of service."
"I went to simply mail a package to friend, but also was treated to a dramatic, totally bizarre scene. The young lady helping me stopped mid-transaction so that she and “Chip” could scream at the whole line of folks about the burden of Amazon returns, some unintelligible stuff about plastic bags, and their emphasis on “customer service” at UPS. Equal parts laughable and scary. Maybe these guys need a day off or something? My package shipped just fine, be prepared to wait in line and bring your popcorn for the show. And if you are trying to send an Amazon return…God be with you."
"Just stopped in to return my AT&T equipment. The guy name Chip very rude. I asked a question and he acted as if I wasn’t standing in front of him. He proceeded to ask me the information needed but refused to answer 1 question for me."
