"Three floors. Might take half a day to thoroughly go through. The Pony Express Museum is just blocks away."
"Interesting visit wotth an hour or so. You can easily spend several hours in you read everything. Jesse James house was cool. Neat to see the room and . Amazing the Patee House was the finest hotel west of the Mississippi, and how in a rough and tough run down area."
"Patee house was probably a nice museum, the staff was so rude, we drove 90 minutes to see this, arrived 30 minutes before close, and they advertised 4pm closing, it closes at 3:45pm, you are warned, we needed the restroom when we got there, she said that's for paying customers only, of course we pay at all places we go and donate generously, we love history. Terrible woman and this place in a VERY scary neighborhood, lock your car. It is a well kept museum. We ran through in about 10 after a 5 minute bathroom break."
"Excellent museum of the old midwest. Old hotel, original headquarters of the Pony Express. Every display is a collection of different regions historical artifacts. For example, one room is Walter Cronkite's fathers dental office. Walter Cronkite was born in St. Joseph and his grandfather and father were dentists there. They recently opened the 3rd floor so you can see the original hotel rooms. Second time here, did not pay the extra $ to see Jessy James house this time."
"The Patee House Museum is quite a fantastic place. The history they have captured is amazing. You would never believe they have a train station AND a train in here. There is so much to see on the 3 floors of this surprising museum. You need to go out of your way to experience this gem. DO IT !!!"
