Reviews of Glenn Miller Birthplace Society
"We had a fantastic time at this museum. We were fortunate to arrive about an hour before closing and Shari Greenwood the Executive Director provided us a personal tour of the museum and Glen Miller's boyhood home. Tons of interesting things at both the museum and childhood home. I give two enthusiastic thumbs up. It's worth the time to visit."
"Alot of info for one trip so plan on three to take it all in! Thanks for educating me on Mr. Miller and my opinion he deserves a purple heart cause if they had red he needs one of those too."
"If you are "In the Mood" to visit the very early restored childhood home and nearby museum of the 1930's and 1940's swing era trombonist, composer, and band leader Glenn Miller, stop here during most days from 1-3pm or at an annual festival planned each June! Lots of hours of research and energy were expended to restore the homeplace to its original 1904 style, complete with furnishings, Miller memorabilia, and outhouse."
"Loved this place! Had an awesome tour by Levi Frazier! We loved it. Went there to a b day party for my uncle. He turned 80. Traveled from TX highly recommend visiting!"
"I must admit I am slightly bias, but this is a neat museum and worth a visit. Glenn Miller was a person of interst as a child. I studied the trombone as a result. I was shocked at how well put together this place is. The staff really spent the time to share not only information on Glenn but also the city of Clarinda and thier many events that surround this style of music. I only wish I had more time to watch the entire movie that plays in the auditorium."
