"The Kearney School District is awesome. We moved here approximately 5 years ago. Our daughter is in kindergarten at Kearney Elementary and we have nothing but positive things to say. The district is very organized, keeps us informed and treats our daughter with respect. I wouldn't consider moving anywhere else."

"Most teachers are nice, the school district in general is very small minded. Bullying is on the busses, and at recess, inside the school it is rare. The counselor is decent, sees all kids as the same, as if they were produced as the same product. In all, Southview is a decent school with good teachers. As you grow and go to the middle school and junior high, bullying becomes severe."

"Since I have lived here (8 years) my two daughters have gone here since they were little kids in the first grade. The are now both in the 9th grade. Something I've noticed is that they are generally very tired after school. I asked them why, and they explained to me that their teacher, Dana Lentz, told them to run not one mile, but two. This is sad. I expect better from Kearney."
