"We absolutely love Merchant's. Whether we're taking out of town friends to a nice dinner, enjoying Sunday brunch, or just in the mood for cocktails...they never disappoint. Jackie and the front of house staff are always super welcoming and attentive to our needs. TK does a great job sourcing quality local ingredients and turning them into memorable dishes that you think about for days after visiting. This particular pumpkin butter whiskey sour was one of the better seasonal cocktails I've ever had. Beer selection is always on point too. Another Lawrence culinary gem that hits time and time again."

"This old bank building in downtown Lawrence was once home to Tellers and now hosts Merchants. The food here is consistently excellent, expertly prepared from locally-sourced meat and produce. The craft cocktails are also quite good. Servers are professional and courteous without being intrusively chatty. And though I don't typically include photos of restrooms, the facilities here are located inside the bank's old vault, making them worth a look. Though I don't eat here literally every time I'm in Lawrence, it's a must-do at least once a year."

"The staff here is incredibly nice and amazing, and if I wasn’t visiting for other reasons I’d definitely visit again just to go here! The food was incredible, so yummy and delicious, it’s hard to describe with words. From the unique and diverse menu to the complimenting flavors of each part of a dish, the food here is unlike anything I’ve tried before, and I go to a lot of restaurants. With the mix of amazing service and food, and an incredible atmosphere, this place is definitely worth any journey or wait you could have."
