Reviews of Corinth Gardens
"I have lived in Corinth Gardens for about 6 months now, and the staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. All inquiries and requests have been answered promptly. With the exception of one neighbor who recently moved out, everyone whom I have encountered in the community has been incredibly friendly which has made me love living here even more. It is within a very short walk of several shops and even a grocery store. The apartments themselves are adorable and well maintained, and the courtyard is open and inviting. I can't wait for summer to use the courtyard grill and enjoy all of the nature around my apartment."
"UPDATE: I'd just like to add that after management saw my review they offered to waive the extra fees (see below) if I took this down. So keep that in mind as you're seeing mostly positive reviews... We've been living (stuck) here for four years. I'm also someone who would give no stars if I could... Expect to pay ~$200 more than they quote you for rent. That's what they're going to tack on in fees for "services", some of which don't even work correctly (see below). Yes, the management company changed in 2023. This is the 3rd property management company in 4 years. And yet, we've had maintenance issues the entire four years. Yes, they've been updating things you can see from the outside. New windows. Painting. A nice grill area a few buildings down. But, only the simplest maintenance issues are fixed inside the units. THE OFFICE HAS LOST THEIR COPY OF MY KEY TWICE. My apartment grows massive amounts of mold every winter (pictures attached). They come in and spray bleach (which gives me a migraine) and tell me to call if it comes back. (It always does.) They kept telling me the mold was due to the old, aluminum windows. They replaced the windows last year and I still get mold. The balcony door will literally FREEZE SHUT in the winter. We end up with a giant ice dam. (Picture attached.) And there's nothing they can do, even though it happens every year. Had them out to fix a light in my kitchen twice. Was told they needed to "order a new one". That was a year ago. There is an electrical outlet with the plate not fully connected to the wall. It's been that way for FOUR YEARS. Never been fixed. I haven't wanted to write a review because I didn't want to rock the boat. Like I said, we've been stuck here. But today I went to pay my rent and they added an extra $165 to my account after they sent my bill out. I was told it happened because they use a third party for billing (which we are charged a fee for) and they didn't add the extra fees before the bill was sent out. This sounds like a bookkeeping problem...and why am I paying for a nonnegotiable "service" that doesn't even work? The office even told me this happened to "several" people this month and they are willing to take the charges off of anyone's account who is willing to sign a new lease. We can't leave fast enough."
"Great little apartments. Management changed sometime last year and this complex is owned by the same group who owns the other Corinth area apartments, all highly reviewed. (Keep that in mind when reading earlier reviews.) They've been doing a lot of update work on the facilities including renewal of the interiors, stairwells, brand new windows, new enclosures for the garbage collection areas, parking area surface, etc. Management is very on top of things, never had a bad experience with them. There's an online portal you can use for things like payments and maintenance requests. Maintenance requests were always followed up on quickly. The apartments themselves are a bit older but have a cool mid-century modern vibe - ours was on the 2nd floor and had vaulted ceilings and exposed brick along one side. As with any older apartments you'll sometimes see a bug but we never had any big issues with them. If you have kids they'll be within short walking distance of Corinth Elementary which is one of the best schools in the state. Easy walking access to the supermarket, shops and restaurants in Corinth Square. It would be nice if they added security cameras in the parking lot. We moved out because we bought a house in the neighborhood but would have no qualms about recommending these apartments."
"We have been residents in the same Corinth Gardens Apartment for over 28 years. The present manager, Cherie Stephens, is by far the very best manager we have had since moving into these apartments. Without fail, she has done everything she has said she would do as soon as possible whenever our apartment needed maintenance and/or new balcony doors put in, windows cleaned on the outside (which had been promised under the past owners for years and never done), major light repairs in the kitchen, correcting bathroom lavatory plugs which were put in wrong under previous owners. Cherie Stephens answers our phone calls whenever possible or calls us back as soon as she can, never avoiding speaking with us and she displays a genuine desire to solve any problems that arise in the maintenance of our apartment. We are never made to feel we are an imposition by Ms. Stephens nor by any of her office workers. Her maintenance men are thorough and courteous and seem to have the highest regard for this manager. We feel Cherie Stephens brings honor to her profession as manager of Corinth Gardens Apartments and puts the very best face on your organization. We hope you know this about Cherie Stephens and we hope you show her the respect and acknowledgement she deserves. Thank you for allowing us this opportunity to share our appreciation of this remarkable person and her extraordinary abilities at managing our Corinth Gardens Apartment."
"I would give this place zero stars. Having a MBA degree, I know this is how you should not run a business. While I was staying there, I put in a few maintenance requests. A few they took months to get around to, others they didn’t complete whatsoever before I moved out on August 23, 2021. Moving out was last minute, out of my control due to getting hired in a new position in Alabama. I went to the office spoke with the assistant manager. I started paying on the break lease fee in August. He gave me some bad news. I’d be paying rent for September and October on top of a break lease fee. WELL my account was charged the FULL break lease fee at the beginning of September after I had already paid some of it off, so I have paid the fee twice because I HAVE NOT been able to get a hold of anyone. October 1 has hit. I have been charged for the FULL break lease fee amount a THIRD time in addition to the full October amount. 1) I have paid the break lease fee twice so if anything there should be a credit on my account. I work in Accounting and Finance. Break lease fee - $1.2K -> rent $865 plus $15 for trash removal. 2) I turned my 60-day notice close to mid-August but I was charged for the full month of October anyways. 3) They are also charging me for the full month of November per my account though this is past the 60 days. Do not move here. Their business practices are shady and they will continue to charge you even after you move out. I moved out on August 23rd. The 60 days shouldn’t take me to the end of October, plus the full month of November. What apartment complex charges a break lease fee three times? During this whole ordeal, my phone calls have not been answered. My emails have not been responded to. Do you really want to rent from a place like this? How can someone afford to pay rent when his old apartment complex is STILL charging him. I am lucky that I have family in the area, otherwise I would be homeless."
