"I absolutely love this community, we came in at a time of transition and it could not have been better!! We have gotten to watch the property get renovated into a place to be proud to live at!! If you are looking for a brand new build don't come here, but if you want a beautifully renovated apartment that is safe in a great location I highly suggest you come look and put down a deposit before the spring rush!! They treat you like a person, with someone in the office Monday to Friday unless posted and always a prompt answer to any maintenance concerns! And if he can't fix it that day he will tell you exactly when he will be back and what to do tell then!"
"As I see people posting about apartments and trying to find places to live, I just want to warn you of this place. I for one do not hold grudges however this place gave me some trauma that I still hold on to. Whenever I do have to move somewhere I'm always scared because of the experience this place has on me. I lived here almost 3 years when Sandy was theamagwe and not sure if she still is or not. I was told my apartment was clean and undamed when I moved in and that it even has been renovated but when I signed the lease and unlocked the door I was greeted to a apartment damaged with water damage and a poor paint job with a few cockroaches painted under the paint as well as spiders. The longer i Iived there the more problems happened. The pool was disgusting and dirty and even grew algae. A homeless man slept in the halls and I felt bad for him but also frightened anyone could enter my building. The entry way door to the building I lived in was broken for 2 years with no code and a busted lock. A bunch of water leaked from my bathroom ceiling and continued to leak on and off the whole time I lived there. Maintenanceade a hole in that ceiling and for 2 months I had to use an umbrella to go to the bathroom as they only moved me to a hotel for 4 days saying the problem was fixed but it wasn't. I had to run to the city and health department for help and when the health department showed up I watched out my window as the manager fled and left in her car to avoid them. I would wait by the office for hours for no one to show up. My apartment was filled with human feces.when I was told the problem would be fixed I was sent a young guy with a mop which could do nothing to stop more waste from entering my apartment so I sent him away as there was nothing he could do that I couldn't which was just cleaning the mess Eventually I had to call a lawyer to threaten management and finally got a meeting with her only to be refused to be given back my money so that I could leave without loosing more than I had lost. It was awful. I had to break my lease and leave with no money returned as well as everything I owned ruined and tossed away because of the sewage water and human feces. Not to mention the roaches that came from other apartments there. I'll never forget that horrible experience or the 3 thousand dollars I lost due to it."
"We currently live at Stone Oak apartments. 7/11/2023. Do not fall for the amenities, it's a lie. No high speed internet, there is a pool now, but they open and close it, as they see fit. They say people don't follow the rules and there is a camera on the pool, but if one person does wrong. They shut it down so no one can use it. If you have a maintenance issue, expect slow work to be done or none at all. We have a patio door without a lock and they said they have to order it, it's been a few months as well as our patio screen door. There isn't one. I could go on and on, but if you want to feel like they care, go somewhere else. We are working on it."
"The landlord here at some oaks apartments “Dora sims” she is a very unprofessional lady. I’ve called and asked her to have my problems fixed in my Unit numerous times. She continues to say that’s not her problem and she hangs up in my face. She harasses all my visitors. I’ve been here for about 10 years and the property seems to have management issues. Here recently we’ve changed the office management 5 times in the last 3 years. If you are thinking about moving here I wouldn’t if you are going to have visitors or any thing of that sort. Have a nice day and stay blessed."
"Sandy was very nice and helpful, we got our apartment very quick and easy and they’re very fast to fix any issues. Would highly recommend. 5 Months later update— Still such a wonderful complex. Sandy is a wonderful manager and will always get back to you when you need her. Always prepared to assist with anything you might need. Maintenance repairs are done quickly, and things are continuing to be updated here at Stone Oak."
