Reviews of Weston Point Apartments
"We've been twice now touring apartments. My impressions were overwhelmingly positive each time. They didn't mind our toddler needing to look at everything in the clubhouse (with me) while my partner was working with the leasing agent. The staff was great, the grounds are clean and the apartments easily met expectations. We've decided to take an apartment there and we are so excited!"
"It was one of the most beautiful housing experiences I have ever had. The staff’s treatment and welcoming were elegant and comfortable. The housing environment is beautiful, and there are many wonderful neighbors. My special thanks and appreciation go to the brilliant Carlie, Jasmine, and Cantece, as well as the manager Darla, and the very friendly and helpful maintenance team, who always strive to provide the best. Thank you very much Weston Point Apartments."
"Having recently moved into my apartment home here at Weston Point, I can only say that all of the staff including the maintenance staff, are wonderful to work with, very professional, and full of kindness. There were a few problems with my apartment home attributed to the prior resident, who did not report them to management, and so management was unaware of those problems. However, upon my notifying the staff of what was going on, all of the concerns were addressed fully and in a very timely manner. My apartment home is really nice, very well lit, and there are even lights in every, single, room! Most apartments have maybe one or two lights and require a lot of lamps. These apartments are very bight, with large windows which allow in a great deal of light. Overall the feeling is super warm and inviting and uplifting. The rooms are large as well with a great deal of storage, especially in the kitchen! If you love to cook or have half a dozen kitchen gadgets, there is space for all of them and more here! The grounds and neighborhood is well kept. We recently had a spell of severe cold weather come through KC and maintenance did a wonderful job of salting, de-icing and shoveling to insure the safety of those walking on the grounds. With easy access to Nall, 133rd and 135th, Weston Point is at a great location with a short hop to either 69 or 435. Traffic does get intense at rush hour, the conveyance of the location more than makes up for that traffic. Overall, I am very well pleased with my move and the community and I am looking forward to my stay here."
"We made four appointments to see an apartment before renting it. Each time that we went to the leasing office, they told us that we can only have a virtual tour and they cannot show the actual place. Either they were too busy or did not have time or it was too cold or whatever. We made four appointments, but the staff members wasted our time and were irresponsible. We made four trips for nothing. This is the most terrible leasing office ever."
"After seeing reviews with similar feedback I feel the need to share my experience during my time at Weston Point to for-warn others with pets. A renters lability when leasing an apartment with animals seems pretty straight forward; deposits, Pet fee, pet rent, don’t let your pets tear up or destroy said apartment and be responsible to reasonably cover costs to remedy issues that arise. I rented an 1100 sq ft two bedroom apartment for 10 months. I travel extensively and this being a second home was there less than 40 days during this entire lease term. I always vow to leave a space in the same or better shape than when I arrived and this place was no exception. Two months after I moved out I received a notice from the apartment manager stating I owed $2,000 to replace the entirety of carpet in the apartment. It was noted by the office staff that they brought in 3rd party contractors to evaluate carpet with black light and pull back carpet. In the dining and living area they found pet stains on the underside of the carpet. There was zero signs of any defects from the carpet surface. The pet which was only there for 2 months at the beginning of the lease was potty trained and was walked throughout the day. There were two months following my move out date before the carpet eval occurred at which time these damages could have occurred. There is no way for either of us to prove how or when the damage occurred. I reasonably requested they adjust the fee to clean or replace the carpet in the affected area which would have easily been half the charge. They were unwilling to accommodate any requests to limit the costs of repairs or to utilize my pet fees against the balance due. The manager referred to fair housing laws to try and justify their unreasonable claim. As a company they have set this unfair standard and it reflects poorly on unsuspecting renters as funds I supplied are not being properly allocated. As I reflected on this very frustrating situation I recalled the staff that walked me through my apartment saying the company tries to replace carpet in between each tenant. At the moment it seemed like new carpet was a nice feature but now even in other reviews I see this has been done at the renters expense which was not disclosed until after move out and in my opinion deceitful. Other potential residents with pets should know how these funds are used and how they poorly handle move outs. If you don’t own pets and have read this far I would also warn you that the apartments need to be updated badly. Not just aesthetically but to improve energy efficiency especially during the winter. The pest control was very poor (lots of spiders even in my dryer) and the daily overflowing trash situation at the dumpsters was unsanitary and downright disgusting."
