"If you have a car, I do not recommend you moving in here. They do not assign spaces, (the only place I’ve heard of that doesn’t do that). They make you get a reasonable accommodation, the manager Velma said to go see my doctor for that which I did, I present it to her, then she has the nerve to tell me she has to send forms to my doctor (which she failed to say anything about it beforehand). They say they don’t have empty parking spaces which is not true. They take a space for a potential resident to give to the assistant manager Kelly, who gets all kinds of special treatment and the only staff member allowed to park on site despite our lot being private parking for RESIDENTS ONLY! They have done nothing but give me problems over the parking. Most of the time I’m forced to park a block or more away from the building. There’s one space left not marked for reserved, which is constantly fought over between others. They are supposed to, by law to provide adequate parking, which they are failing to do. I’ve lived here for over two years and I just recently bought a vehicle less than two months ago, and they (Velma and Kelly and their boss Kim) refuse to work on this problem. So save yourself the headache of moving in here if you have a vehicle cause you won’t be able to park anywhere unless you’re going to walk a block or more"

"I moved in a month ago. Update now 3 years. Wonderful Manager and Staff. They. are patient, understanding. Additionally, they have handled COVID-19 issues very well. Safe clean, well maintained community. Nice place to live. Update : Out of all the Hud housing I've looked at in the entire Greater KCMO area, this is the only one packed full of in-house activities! Dave the activities Director (arranges in-house hair-cuts, Help Corralate with AARP to assist with Rental Rebates , Excercise class Activities and more).. Dave and his wife have literally come here over long weekends to give out ice cream! Velma Brown, the manager, Kellie, our Asst. Mngr, attend fun parties. Always Smiling really makes me feel at home. The Tennants Association have their own activities as well. If you like potlucks, game nights, Karoeok, parties every holiday. Monthly Birthday Parties,beautiful Lobby always Decorated for Holidays, A Grill reserve can be reserved if you wanna cook out for yourself or friends. The community room can be reserved Friends and Families special Events, this is the place for you! Management stays on Top of Pest Control. If there is a problem, they take care of it Promptly at 0 cost to you. Excelsior Springs Transportation is the best. Shout out to the wonderful staff that make sure (Walkers/♿️/Hoverounds get around town and to Medical Appointments! They have even helped advocate with the Ever Changing Medicaid Transportation Companies to Coorrelate rides when glitches in communication happen. Also, there is always a night monitor for Lockouts. .I once had my sink back up on a holiday weekend. NM called Velma /mngr Problem solved in 3 hrs ."
