"The nurses were sloppy and careless. Dr. Palfreeman's only concern when giving my son a check-up were the vaccines. Don't take your child to a pediatrician because the only thing they care about is injecting your kid with vaccines so they can make money. Do not trust them."
"Dr. Palfreeman is incredible. We spent a lot of time searching for a pediatrician in Kansas City and had a couple of experiences that were not ideal. Dr. Palfreeman cares for his patients and their families. He takes the time to address the concerns that parents and children have and connects on a personal level. He feels like a member of our family."
"Poor experience at this office, please read - I'm a new mama with a 1 week old newborn. We came here for our baby's first pediatric appointment on Monday morning, January 29th. As we were checking in, I overhead another mama checking out at the other side of the counter. What grabbed my attention initially was the tone of the nurse talking to her. She was being rather rude about the patient not having insurance but the mama seemed to brush it off and soon left. As we sat down to work on paperwork in the waiting room, the nurse, at full volume, says, "I hate her." to one of the other nurses behind the counter. We then hear a full conversation, again at full volume, between the two nurses mocking and complaining about this patient. As we continued filling out paperwork, we heard more rude and aggressive tones from reception to patients as they walked in. I was very uncomfortable and was just hoping not to irritate any of the staff for fear of aggressiveness or being talked about poorly once we left. I consider myself pretty sensitive normally, but especially freshly postpartum, I am in an extremely vulnerable state. As are all mamas in general. A pediatrician's office should be warm, comforting, and welcoming for any parent bringing their child in. That includes all staff. I find it absolutely horrendous that someone who works in the medical field can show such disgust towards a parent who is just trying to take care of their child. I cannot speak for every nurse who works here as we were only exposed to a few that day, but if you are someone who is in a very sensitive phase of your life, do not go to this office. Shop around and find an office that has you and your child leaving happier than when you came in."
"I have been bringing my children here for 19 years and wouldn't consider anywhere else. The staff are always extremely inviting and warm. They have always done their do diligence educating and addressing concerns. I absolutely love this office. Thank you Preferred Pediatrics for making many MANY trips to the Dr over the past 19 years as comfortable and stress-free as I think you can get when at a dr office."
"I would love to give this office 5 stars, as we love the doctors here, especially Dr. P! He’s amazing, one of a kind and we are so glad we found him. Unfortunately, my problem lies with the office staff who work at the front desk and answer phone calls. I’ve given the benefit of doubt several times (held my tongue) as we’ve been going to this office for over a year now. However, there have been multiple instances where the front desk staff are rude, dismissive and just completely unfriendly… after all this is an office for children. It’s disappointing and honestly a bit belittling. However we love Dr. P and can’t imagine going to another doctor. My real hope in this review is that the office staff/receptionists can do better when talking with their clients and making parents feel heard, respected and supported."
