Reviews of Gateway Arch Visitor Center
"I was very pleasantly surprised by this well laid out museum which explained well the history of the push from the mid west further west. The exhibits were well organized and and clearly explained. Within the center (sic) there is a cafeteria and good, modern, clear restrooms. I spent a happy hour or so brushing up on my knowledge of this part of the USA. Oh, and all this was for free!"
"I really enjoyed visiting the gateway Arch history center and the museum."
"The Gateway Arch museum is a must . I loved learning more about Red Cloud ."
"The gateway arch national museum is a must visit for anyone visiting St. Louis. It is such an inconic symbol of the American expansion to the west. The museum has been recently remodeled, modernized and is free! Be prepared for airport style security. The exhibits are thoroughly researched and provide an excellent overview of the history of St. Louis and the westward expansion. I liked that it provided insight into the Native Americans living in the land. I highly recommend buying tickets in advance for going up the arch. There is a cafe inside the museum that serves coffee and some food, nothing extraordinary. There are ranger programs throughout the day. The park grounds are well maintained. The parking is difficult to find, so plan ahead of the tram time. A must see!!"
"Free museum. Nice history of the region and construction of the Arch."
