"Great historical stop if you're out this way. It has a beautiful museum and shop. The staff is so friendly and helpful. There is a walking trail and also a driving route. Lots of really interesting areas to explore and see what it was like during the war and to live off of the land at the time. Also the area is just gorgeous."
"Very nice museum, with a film. You can drive around the battlefield and stop at information points. The store has lots of interesting books and things. You can get your national park passport stamp, too."
"This was an interesting place in that the battles fought here turned the tide against the confederate armies on this side of the Mississippi River… The tour starts with a 25 minute movie that describes the battles fought and the mistakes made that wound up causing the southern armies to retreat back to safe areas… There are a pair of led dioramas that not only show the topography of the area, but also the roads and encampments… multiple displays of period military hardware are also on display… Then the battlefield can be visualized during a 6.5 mile one way road trip that visits all the highlights of the battle at Pea Ridge… unfortunately close to 4,000 casualties were incurred by both sides during this bloody encounter…"
"Take your time. It can be an All day experience. Start with the park film then drive the 7 mile tour road with 10 stops to get an in-depth story of what happened here March 7-8, 1862"
"Perfect, quick, FREE historical site with an audio tour that you can link to your car (via phone Bluetooth)/phone & listen to at each stop.(scan the QR code at the visitor center) Easy trails, mostly even & maintained, although there is a specific hiking trail & horse trail available. October was a perfect time to visit. If you are a fan of the civil war, it's a great little stop."
