"The most unprofessional place you could go. Appointment said to be there at 1130. Did not get called back until after 1. I finally get called back. They get my IV in and ready to go. They find a technicality and decide not to do the colonoscopy. Nothing was ever discussed upfront about this technicality. It was it my file if they would have read it and explained to me how it works. Why would I know this would be an issue? I did not go to med school. That is why I go to the "professionals" I went through all the nasty prep the day before. No, they wait until I am ready for the procedure to even bring it up. I hear the nurses at their station all cheering "yeah we are done we get to go home early" yes I am beyond pissed at this point and all I want to do is leave but my husband insists on wanting to know what just happened. One of the nurses comes out into the waiting room to explain my medical issue to him in front of other people in the waiting room even after I yell her not to discuss my medical problems in front of everyone. Complete violation of my HIPPA rights. Un freaking believable"
"Had a great experience as a patient with my procedure as well as the staff, this review would be and is five stars for that... However, the billing department has not been easy to work with. My procedure was 100% covered by insurance, receptionist even told me at check in, had all insurance information preapproved. 8 months later, I'm still getting billed and now turned over to collections despite written proof and processed check reference numbers from my Health Insurance provider that all payments were made in full. Super frustrating."
"This is the third(3rd) Colonoscopy I have had with Dr. Damon Clines, so I’m sharing this review to let many of you know, that I know, that he knows what he is doing. He is an excellent, very thorough MD, and I was very happy as I just moved back home to St. Louis from Louisiana that he is still active in this field of expertise. This was my first-time visiting Riverside Surgery Center as my previous ones have been at SSM, so I was very leery, and nervous. Upon arrival the front desk staff were very pleasant, smiled and Welcoming. The people in the surgery center providing Direct Patient Care to me were: Mary, Stacy, and Shontae >who Is Exceptional). But especially the Anesthetist-Carol Slazinik, CRNA. If you want to trust anyone to put you to sleep, ask for her. She made me feel relaxed and safe. The folder provided after your procedure is very comprehensively devised. Dr. Clines personally, and professionally spoke with me and my husband for review, all questions were answered, not hurried, as he was very receptive. This is an Excellent Team-Well-Oiled Machine at Riverside, and Highly recommended!!"
"I received excellent treatment at the Endoscopy & Colonoscopy Center. People were friendly, the treatment went well. When I got billing I learned that the nurse anesthetist that sedated me was not on my insurance plan. Of course I signed a document saying that I am financially responsible for the procedure and I don't dispute that. I thought I had done all the legwork up front-- doctor performing my procedure is in plan, the center was in plan and I didn't know there would be an anesthetist or who this person would be before I arrived for the procedure. I called the center and spoke to their billing person about the issue and just got "not my problem, call the anesthetist". I had no relationship with that person before I arrived-- he was contracted by the surgical center. A customer-focused business could have told me the anesthetist that we use is not on your plan when I did all the paperwork preparing with them rather than burying it all the documents I had to sign upon arrival- or even, "hey, your anesthetist will be Mr. X and you need to make sure that he is in your insurance plan". I was told "We try to make sure that our providers are on our customers' plans" but also said that this is the professional that they use. I fail to see any effort."
