Reviews of EGYPT FOR AMERICANS
"I traveled to Egypt in October of 2023 for two weeks through Egypt for Americans. The level of attention to detail and organization in providing and arranging a custom tour to fit our travel needs far exceeded our expectations. The hospitality we received on our trip was exceptional. Every member of the staff went above and beyond from the moment we arrived up until our final departure. To say we were well taken care of would be an understatement. I think about this trip every day. Huge thank you to everyone at Egypt for Americans, if I could give a 6th star I would without any hesitation!!!!"
"We just completed a 10 day trip to Egypt (Cairo and Luxor) and Jordan (Petra, Wadi Rum, and Dead Sea). Our group consisted of 6 people ranging from 8 years old to 80 years old. Everyone in the group had an amazing time! The tour guides in Cairo (Gaber) and Jordan (Omar) were incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. They were able to keep things fun and instructive for everyone in the group. The tour operator, Amr, did a great job of designing the trip to have a varied exposure to the different sites so that it did not feel like we were having the same experience repeatedly. Before our trip, we were a little anxious traveling to an area so close to the Gaza conflict, but we had absolutely no concerns about safety the entire time. The only hiccup that we had is that the person meeting us at the airport upon arrival to Cairo was very late. It wasn't a good first impression after a long flight to feel stranded at the airport in a new country. Our flight did arrive earlier than the scheduled time, but that was not in our control and flight times should have been monitored. Other than that, the rest of the trip went perfectly. There are many different tour operators that offer similar itineraries. The reason why we chose Tours for Americans was that they offered the same experience as others, but provided a discount for our two children, ages 11 and 8. This discount was not part of the packages from other tour operators, and resulted in a substantial savings. Our entire family highly recommends traveling to Egypt and Jordan, and Egypt for Americans!"
"My husband and I just returned from a 2 week trip to Egypt with another couple which we planned with Egypt for Americans. (10/23-11/4). Despite the turmoil in Gaza, we felt perfectly safe and very welcomed by the Egyptian people. Our guides were phenomenal! The drivers made the travel easy. Our hotel accommodations were 5 star and the Historia cruise line was fantastic. All in all, this trip was among the very best that we have ever taken. If you are considering a trip to Egypt, I would highly recommend contacting Amr and his team. Kathy"
"Hello, Words can not express what an AMAZING experience we had with Egypt for Americans. Our trip was flawless - with the diamonds being the service and hospitality and attention we got from everyone involved with Egypt for Americans during our trip. Amr (the lead from the US), Zizo (the lead in Egypt), Magdi (guide in Luxor and Aswan), Gabbar (guide in Cairo) every single driver, and security officer. The cruise staff and captain were super courteous. Hotel Conrad was top-notch as well. I would HIGHLY recommend Egypt for Americans to anyone traveling to Egypt. Best, Leena"
"152 10 days in Egypt Review of Eternal Egypt 12 Days- 5 star with Egyptologist,Flights & Nile Cruise Included Pending review To preface this review, I will let you know I have never used a travel agency in all of our holidays. We are a couple in our early 50s, have travelled quite a bit and are a little on the adventurous side. While attempting to plan our trip to Egypt, it became clear this was above my abilities to make all of the arrangements, especially with very little knowledge of the area. This is not a trip I was comfortable winging it :) Amr was so amazing work with. We had a private tour and he worked very hard to meet all of our wishes and to recommend the best places to visit and stay. We did have a few changes to the itinerary and he was able to make that happen too. While on the trip, Egypt of Americans made sure we had no problems from the first steps in the airport to the last on our trip home. It was actually a little over the top at times ( we are more than capable of navigating an airport) but reassuring none the less. Our guides Gaber and Magdy and our drivers were absolutely amazing. They were so knowledgeable and went out of their was to make us feel comfortable. They even changed our schedule multiple times to accommodate our whims. Do not miss an opportunity to sail ( ride) on the Nile in a Dahabiya!!! The boat was beautiful and the friends we made on the 4 day trip were lovely. I do have a few recommendations and things I would change if we were ever to repeat this trip 1. Have plenty of small ( very small) egyptian pounds with you. Tipping is expected everywhere. I had no idea that we needed egyptian pounds and that we needed so many small amounts. 2. We also needed plenty of cash for tipping all of the people that helped us from Egypt for Americans. There were multiple assistants on our trip that all expected a cash tip. It doesn't add up to much money, but it gets a little exhausting keeping track of whom and how much to tip and to keep enough of the smaller bills ( either US or egyptian) Finding somewhere to break a 20$ bill was impossible. I ended up using an ATM and getting smaller bills 3. We could have done without the stops at the papyrus shop, the carpet school and the Alabaster shop in Luxor. They were interesting but, they all expected us to buy something and it was a very hard sell. Let me say this, we were suckers!! Don't make our mistakes. Be firm and say no.....good luck:)"
