Reviews of Psychiatric Care and Research Center
"Kelly G. is an amazing psychiatrist who was incredibly helpful to me. Unfortunately, the way the office is run, and the lack of communication from said office to its patients, is terrible. I WANT to keep seeing Kelly, I'm ONLY leaving because of the terrible office. I've also gone without medicine over 4+ times(In barely over a year). Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere."
"I have called the office on 3 occasions and left 3 voicemails to schedule a new patient appointment with the physician assistant, who according the the recording and website, is accepting new patients. I have never received a call back. Very unprofessional."
"Avoid at all costs. Seriously. Respect your mental health and look elsewhere for a place that will meet you with that same level of respect. Like I've seen other reviewers say, I would give zero stars if possible. In my experience, the office staff is unresponsive and unmotivated to help. I've never once had a phone call answered, and my most recent voicemail took 8 business days to get a response. I saw Kelly Govro for about a year and had mostly positive experiences with her, though often briefer and more small-talk oriented than desired. After not seeing her for a while, I scheduled an appointment and, despite me asking for a thorough meeting to re-assess my situation, she met with me over the phone for less than 5 minutes and re-upped me on the same prescription for 3 months. The prescription I received following that meeting was actually for 1 month; after waiting those 8 days for a followup response, they said I needed another meeting with Kelly for the full 3 months. That translates to another expensive meeting for a prescription that was supposedly already confirmed. Coupled with the huge hassle even trying to communicate with the office, it felt very sketchy and like information was being intentionally withheld from me. When I tried to get a better understanding of what was happening, they got defensive and accusatory. This isn't the first negative experience I've had/observed with this office, but it's the last for me. These are professionals in charge of people's mental health and they need to act like it. Until that day, I strongly advise you get help elsewhere."
"The office staff here is absolutely horrid. They do not call you back when you are in desperate need of a medications and they do not respond to faxes from the pharmacy even if they send one every day for a week. the office is only open from 9am to 3:30pm and they take an entire hour for lunch where you cannot get anyone on the phone and you cant even leave a message. They blame issues on their part on the pharmacy and let things slide under the rug. Extremely unprofessional and dangerously careless."
"I’ve been looking for a new psychiatrist for awhile now. I left a voicemail hoping to just see if they were taking new patients, unfortunately I work the hours so I had to leave a brief message. The receptionist called me back and explained the doctor is only taking new patients that are family members or referrals from current patients, which I understand, but she sounded like I should have already known that. Then, she tells me the physician assistant is only taking new patients based off diagnosis and insurance which again is fine, but again is speaking to me like I should have know that. So I tell her what I am diagnosed with and my insurance, to which she tells me something along the lines of “this is a physicians assistant not a psychiatrist”. To which then my anxiety was so bad from how she was acting I had to say never mind and hang up the phone. Wonderful way to not ever get new clients."
