"The doctor and exam went great however I checked with my health insurance prior to visit and asked if they accepted Ambetter insurance we were told "yes". When I got to purchasing the glasses I was told our insurance would not cover glasses because they were trifocals. I paid for exam and left unhappy. I checked my policy when I got home it says "Trifocals 100% covered in network". I'm not sure what the game is here but I was deceived in some way at this office. The front office people seemed unconcerned as if this was something that happens all the time. My best guess as to what happened was that the doctor has partnered with an eye glass maker that is out of network but no explanation was offered. I was lead to believe they had a relationship with Ambetter they checked my policy and it wouldn't be covered anywhere. Either the person didn't know their job or they were trying to get me to pay out of pocket for glasses that are covered by my policy."
