"I really hate to leave this review as Dr. Thompson is a really good doctor; however, the billing department is not trustworthy and after being a patient for years, I can't believe how I was treated on Tuesday. I haven't been seen in the facility in at least a year; however, as I am developing a serious condition, I called on Monday to schedule to be seen as soon as possible. I had no issues being scheduled and nothing seemed out of the norm. Despite this, I got a call the very next day with a voicemail stating that I owed $692 and that they wouldn't see me unless I provided my banking information so they could take out payments until the balance is settled. I was at a loss for words. I had no idea where this amount had come from nor had I received a single bill, or a call since my last visit a year ago, stating there was an unpaid balance. I immediately knew something wasn't right. When I called to seek answers, Bruce Hudson reiterated that I owed this amount and said that they would not see me for my scheduled appointment until the balance was taken care of. I was appalled that I was being denied care and that I was being accused of owing anything when this was the first I was hearing of it. I asked him where the amount had come from and why I hadn't been notified about it. He claimed bills had been sent out and calls where made to notify me. All of which were untrue. I told him that I would be contacting my insurance about the suspect balance, but that I wanted a print out of everything I was being charged for and proof that bills were sent and calls were made by their facility as I knew neither had occurred. He said he'd need time to produce them. I hung up and immediately called my insurance. They revealed to me that Thompson Eye Clinic had submitted several of my claims from 2022 and 2023 well outside of the required timely filing window and because of their errors, my insurance did not pay out. They made it perfectly clear that the charges that were not paid out due to their fillings outside of the window should NOT fall on the patient; however, this is exactly what this clinic did which would explain why I never received a bill or call. They pushed the balance that wasn't paid out onto me, the patient. My insurance company made it clear to me and Thompson Eye Clinic that I was not at fault, but in fact they were at fault and I should not have a balance. Despite communicating this to Amanda the head of billing, and Bruce Hudson, he refused to show proof of a true balance of $0 for me, but suddenly said I could come to my scheduled appointment. Due to the insult to injury, I told Bruce to cancel my appointment and that I no longer felt comfortable at that office due to their ill practices. I have no idea what they will continue to do on their end; however, I have the proof of their errors and I warn you to watch very closely & protect yourselves from this very thing happening to you, if you chose to be seen at this facility."

"Lady that answers phone evidently hates her job. Unwilling to set an appointment and she is extremely RUDE! One star rating is generous. I'll be going elsewhere."

"Dr. Thompson and Staff are very professional and personable. They have always gone above and beyond in assisting a family member with very complicated eye issues. I recommend them 100%."

"This is the best eye doctor I have ever experienced. He takes his time and really does a detailed eye exam. He cares for his patients. The bonus is Bruce that helps picks your eye glasses. He does wonderful job in fitting your glasses and he goes the extra mile. I will not ever stop going to this eye office. It is truly the best!"

"I wish I could give different review stars for the various people in the whole office. Dr Thompson would get 5 stars he is amazing, takes his time with you and explains everything that you ask about. The guy who does the fittings would get 5 stars as he is very good at what he does. There are 3 women at the front desk; the one that is nearest the door and has red hair would get no more than one star, she is rather rude she doesn't want to do anything to help someone. The other two women are better than she and one especially was helpful. They would get 3 and 4 stars. I am actually actively looking to go elsewhere with my eye care because of the one woman who is so damn rude. I had a friend call to see about making a new patient appointment and the lady was so rude to her she decided to go elsewhere. Dr Thompson this woman is costing you money and losing your patients."
