"Took my daughter here who had something going on. Worst experience yet. Don’t go to this sunflower clinic. The doctor spent 5 minutes after waiting 3 hrs and didn’t even listen to anything we told her."
"No one likes going to the doctor. So, if you’re going to go you want to feel heard and respected. Dr. Pacheco delivers on providing a patient centered experience and a plan of care. I’m grateful to have him as my doctor."
"A few nights ago, we went to the urgent care due to our toddler's high fever. We did arrive around 7:30pm, which was close to closing time, however, we did ask upon arrival to be sure we could be seen at that time for the specific issue, & we were assured we could be seen. (We attempted to call prior to our arrival, but were placed on hold & the phone was never answered.) Upon seeing the doctor, we felt that our concerns were brushed off, we felt unsupported, & we felt that we weren't being heard entirely. With everything we brought up, the same answer was given right back to us. We left feeling quite frustrated with how we were treated, especially being younger parents. We wish we would have tried to make the drive to Children's Mercy Urgent Care instead, however, Sunflower's Urgent Care advertised online as able to see pediatrics for these kinds of issues - including being able to run tests, and was closer in proximity. I would have loved to be told from the beginning that it was too late in the day to get actual answers, instead of pay to be told exactly what we already knew. The wait time was obviously great because we got there so late, and the receptionist and nurse were both kind. Unfortunately, this being the third subpar experience with this & another location combined, our family is done using this medical group. I would not recommend it to other parents - especially when dealing with a situation involving your child that feels scary to you, yet feels brushed off by the medical professional. I understand it was close to closing time, and I wish we didn't feel like we had to come when we did - & we obviously wish our kiddo wasn't feeling as bad as they were - but we thought that's what they were there for."
"I started seeing Dr. Pacheco and let me tell you he is the most knowledgeable kind caring doctor I’ve ever seen. I have some health issues and he made me feel like we’re going to get them under control together and he is going to help me do that. He answered all my questions and explained everything to me so that I would understand what he was talking about and was not in a hurry took his time to make sure he had answered all my questions. I would recommend him highly."
"The doctors and nurses seem nice. But management/administrative team is terrible. Heartland/Sunflower is an awful provider. I was previously left in the waiting room for 45 minutes when I had a scheduled appointment. No one checked in on me being to only person sitting in that waiting room. I figured they were busy with COVID and didn't want to be rude. When I did finally go up and check in at the desk, they said they had removed me from the list because I had been late (fine - I understand and respect that, but no one mentioned *anything* about that when I checked in at the front office *5 minutes late from traffic*). That type of communication is essential and honestly the bare minimum that should happen (even if the patient is at fault). Poor communication. They don't update their Google listings, so they have the wrong address associated with their doctors. I just drove 30 miles to the address they have listed for my doctor. Only to be told she doesn't work at that location, and hasn't "for a while now". Even their text massage reminder just said "@Hartla" like I should know which location. With gas prices where they are and for whatever I will probably be charged for this (now) missed appointment, I'll be out a decent chunk of change. Not to mention - if my health issue was vital what that would mean. Again, bad communication. Their doctors/nurses seem great. But avoid the headache and pass on Heartland/Sunflower Medical Group as a whole. Respectfully, very disappointed with their management/administrative side."
