"This review will be in two parts since its two long so part one of my review. I don't usually write reviews Dr. Morisson was my child main doctor. But here we go with my long story. My 5 year old son has behavior problems and speech delay. I don't think my son is Autistic. My mother does. Daycare and school doesnt think he is. However it does run in the family and I did mention it and we should look into it to be 100 percent sure. The reason why I was there was to get a referral for playability for behavior and speech which was recommended by social work teacher iep and principal from school. We scheduled to meet after meeting at the school to try new plans, trying to find one that works best for my son. Playability said I needed paperwork, so I called the doctors office, and they said he needed a referral. So I scheduled an appointment for my son but brought all 3 of my kids. Because my 7 years have behavior problems now due to 5 years old getting attention and my 4 years are starting to act like the 5 years. We know this goes when your one person does not have another parent to tag out with. So yes imagine the worst behavior at the doctor's office. He refused my son referral. He told me to take my kids to Johnson County's mental health. Insured me they would be able to help, and all kids need to be present. So I drive there right after the doctor office. Got the mental health place kids there still Willing out. The people at Johnson County's mental health were nice to help sit with my kids so I could fill out paperwork. At this point, I'm at my breaking point but I'm trying my best to stay strong. Get the paperwork done turned in to explain that he needs speech therapy in individual therapy behavior class. Also proceed on what the doctor told me and she looked at me and said Your doctor told you to bring all kids here. She was very disappointed she told me you didn't have to go through all of this. You could have come up here without the kids who have now missed a day off school chaos and explained the situation. So I'm like Let's get to the point that they can't help my son with speech they can't help behavior they do some, but rarely. Mental health does do individual therapy they don't do family therapy. This all mental health told me. They do individual therapy. However, walk in only, so mean I pull on kid from school wait. however, long it is 1, 2, 3, and maybe 4 hours even till it's my turn. Ther repeat the next day with kid 2. Then the following day with kids 3. Is he out of his freaking mind. But I'm okay. Can I get therapy started, but that's not scheduled for any single mother. When I told his teacher they referral was denied they were like Why no way and I'm like, yes, I understand why and more of why the system is broken. I understand some kids need medicine, and I also know drugs it's my first opinion now when my son is seen for behavior speech individual and family therapy, and it isn't working okay maybe drugs are cool. But a doctor that only sees my son about once a year, maybe twice when he is sick. Isn't gonna write me a referral that I highly recommend from more than personOne person has planned for my 5 years. Drugs shouldn't be the first option in my book, but if several professional people are like Hey mom we did plan a b and c we should look into okay awesome. Here I am with little help trying to go outside the box to help my son. He is a fast learner. He doesn't have these problems at daycare nor from his teacher. Only at home and specials. So he needs a referral for professional help. Maybe that person will have a better mindset on how we find ways to help with behavior. Never again in my life will I recommend this doctor. I'm still looking for therapy that's constant. Behavior that's constant, but every single one I call won't do it unless he is Autistic or with referral. But why didn't I get recommend where to take him to get tested. I have a great school support system. It's a great daycare system that keeps telling me I'm doing good. Let work together guess I'm not able to type part two"
"I have been seeing Dr. Morisson for years, as well as my whole family. For years I have had nothing but problems with the staff and rude nurses. I have finally had enough after spending my entire work day doing their job getting the correct orders sent out for the correct imaging to take place and got nothing but mouth from a nurse not wanting to do her job. I will be finding a new doctor after having been treated my one doctor my whole life because the staff is unbearable."
"Scheduled an appointment in Oct, first available was Jan 4th. I received no call to remind me of app. I have also had my daughter attend appts and has taken over an hour to get to physician. Service is terrible."
"This office is horribly unorganized and it is extremely dangerous. We've been through so many doctors in this place that no one knows what's going on. Even the staff regularly complains about the sheer confusion of this place. The newest doctor had a new patient appointment with my child. She obviously didn't even look at the charts before the appointment. She didn't even know the basics and even got our names wrong. This also isn't the first time we've had our records mixed up with someone else's here. That's dangerous and I'm unsure how legal that is for privacy. This new female doctor began lecturing me about the importance of being vaccinated. Asking me why my daughter hasn't has her vaccinations. I explained she was up to date and has never had them delayed or missed. She told me at 12 yrs a child needs Hep A vaccinations. And that my child needs hers. She proceeded have these vaccinations given as she insisted I was wrong and didn't know what I was talking about. So I trusted the "medical professional". I would regret this decision almost immediately. My daughter had a seizure in the office as we were leaving. My daughter has absolutely no history of seizures. Not a single person in this office was called to help until I was almost on the floor with my shield trying to keep her from banging her head while her body was convulsing. They all said this was normal reactions to vaccinations. She just passed out. This is incorrect. After going to the hospital because my daughter had a seizure in their office and they refused to call an ambulance, Children's Mercy Hospital has instructed me not to go back to this clinic. Hep A vaccines are given in infancy and every doctor should know this. Not at 12 years old. My daughter was already fully vaccinated against Hep A so she didn't need it at all. She was accidentally vaccinated by a doctor that didn't even know how to do her job. And I'm unsure what they actually gave my child. Did they mess that up my mistake as well? I honestly don't even know what was given to my daughter. It's been a huge disaster to try to get any answers. When I asked to please speak to a doctor the office manager called instead. Not surprisingly she couldn't answer any medical questions. Please keep your family safe and leave this place. The disorder in this office is flat out dangerous."
