"Absolutely wonderful experience. Walked us through each step and was incredibly fast."
"Great service and place to get answers to your questions"
"I'm glad this service is available for those that need it. I don't have a great understanding of how they operate or how they get paid, but as I was trying to help someone else out by contacting them, I found the person that I talked to friendly, patient, and kind - something you don't often find when it comes to state assistance programs. For that woman, I say KUDOS as I can only imagine the stuff she hears in a day on the phone. I'm leaving 3 stars because like any other state assistance program offering, the process is overly bureaucratic and complicated. To get help, you must first fill out an online application and then wait for a phone call. The person calling is not a lawyer, but a screener. They ask many questions (that were already answered on the application) and then tell you that in 5-7 business days that you'll receive a phone call again to let you know if you are eligible for their services. However, don't dare miss that phone call (they don't tell you what day or window or time they may call) because then you have to call them back and be placed in a new queue. The process starts over. Soon, it becomes a game of cat and mouse. So, yes, it's an available system, but the difficulty getting through the initial process is so frustrating that it is hard to gauge how effective or efficient the actual legal advice/action portion goes. We'll see."
"I called Kansas legal service to see if I can get a lawyer to help me with my credit. I was told that they could help me with my credit but I will have to wait for a lawyer. I waited almost 7 months for a lawyer. Then when I finally did talk to a lawyer she told me I had to clean up my own credit. That not what I was told 7 months ago when I first signed up for a lawyer. Matter of fact I was told yes they can help me with my credit. I just a waste 7 months. I have to fix my own credit now. I took the company to court that mixed up my credit by saying I owe them money. First I had to pay them the money they said I owe them. Then I took then to court to get my money back. The judge ruling in my favor and order them to pay me back my money and plus court fees. BUT MY CREDIT IS STILL MIX UP."
"OMG they are the nicest people I have ever met, they don’t mind how many times you call them to ask any questions, they will answer all the concerns you have as many times as you want to discuss. I love them being so courteous about helping people. Thanks"
