"When I was growing up, I went there. It was part of the most formative times in my life. My first (and only) food fight, safe but SUPER fun pranks (water ballooning the older kids), first time repelling, first time climbing a rock wall, my first tent camp, my first time cooking over a camp fire, and I met my “blood brother” there (It was shaking hands and hugging in front of a bond fire, nothing weird... God rest his soul). This place is where memories are formed and safety is their number one priority.This place is magical. I can’t wait to send my daughter there! Best place for your kids to spend a fun week in the summer!"

"Camp Wakonda is the best camp ever. They have a wonderful director and caring staff. They have a very nice private bathhouse, private lake and pool and even ac in the cabins. So many activies the kids are never bored. They post pics every day so you can see your child. My picky eater even loves their food! I can't say enough good things about them."

"We had an event there recently and everyone really seemed to enjoy the camp. Facilities were somewhat rustic, as you would expect a YMCA camp to be, but very clean and comfortable. Cabins have heat and AC, dining hall has a professional kitchen, nice swimming pool, game room, high ropes course, rappelling tower & zip line. The boys really seemed to enjoy the "treehouse" area and the nearby creek. Staff was very courteous and helpful. The facilities are available for rent when summer camps are not in session - a great option for church groups, family reunions, etc."
