Reviews of Alleviant Health Centers of Bentonville
"I found this office to be really welcoming as soon as I walked in. The waiting room is soothing, with jellyfish videos on the tv and multiple candy bowls. Becca, the receptionist, was very kind and friendly. I saw Dr. Cox and he seemed interested in me as a whole person, not just interested in my symptoms. I’m a queer woman, so it’s not always easy to find welcoming, safe medical care—but Dr. Cox was competent and made me feel heard."
"I thought I could trust this office but they are no different than any other place that I’ve been to. I told him I wanted to come off the medication that I’ve been on since I was 13 years old, I’m now 32 years old and somehow I ended up on more medication here. He said the drug wasn’t dependent but it is. He also made it seem like it was some miracle drug with no side effects. The mixture of medication I’m on has 4 moderate drug interactions. I went to the ER because I felt like I was dying. Now I’ve been diagnosed with a short PR interval and have to wear a heart monitor for 48 hours to see how bad it is. I’ve been stuck on mental health medication my whole life almost. I came here because I wanted to see what life is even like without medication and ended up with a heart condition instead. The miracle drug that was supposed to be for “anxiety, depression, a mixture of everything” I was told also is very known for inducing serotonin syndrome when mixed with the other two sedatives that I’m on. The 2 star is because the office ladies are very nice and they seem like they actually care. I don’t know if they really do or not."
"During my intake appointment, Linda West assumed I was seeking an Adderall prescription because I said my father has ADHD when she asked for my family history (I was not). At my second appointment, she tried to put me on antipsychotics, despite the fact that I do not suffer from psychosis, hallucinations, or any conditions that antipsychotics are used to treat. Antipsychotics also have a high risk of causing orthostatic intolerance and heart problems, which I already suffer from and am medicated for. It would have been incredibly dangerous for me if I had agreed to take them. She also prescribed me a sleep medication that is a controlled substance despite previously accusing me of drug seeking Adderall. The provider they switched my care to after that was dramatically worse. The entire appointment was incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional. I am not comfortable with having medication management or psych treatment here. Even my regular therapist was shocked by the treatment I received. I do not suggest going here if you have medical PTSD, Autism, or any type of physical health issues that can be worsened by medication."
"Dr. Eisele is just so awesome. I really enjoy talking to him. Not all therapists these days can make a christian feel comfortable in this type of setting when called upon to do so. I hope to continue to get his help strategizing against my mental health issue. Thank Doc!!"
"Sara is very understanding and listens to you and is very careful in prescribing and trustworthy. Also July is a great assistant with scheduling and taking messages. I recommend to anyone suffering with mental health issues. Sadly, our community puts things like college football more important than people suffering from mental health so that is why it is hard to find places that are actually good. Money goes to the wrong places. I won’t put another business down publicly on here but I have yet to find another place that is worth the time and patience it takes to get the help you need."
