"I got swabbed here for RSV/FLU/STREP/COVID, when I was swabbed I could tell that they barely swabbed me, so I was a bit nervous about the results being true. However, I get bacterial respiratory infections frequently, and so I assumed that it was just another one of those. The Dr, (I think Paulson was her last name? Middle Aged brunette woman), was very rude and acted like I was an idiot, especially when I had mentioned to her that I have a chronic illness, she acted like I shouldn’t be having infections if I’m getting treated for a chronic illness, but anyone that has an issue like chronic sinusitis or COPD knows that managing it with meds doesn’t mean you’ll never get an infection again, and sometimes you can’t wait a week to be seen by your primary. Anyway, I was in so much pain that I luckily was able to get in with my primary in Clinton the next day because she was doing urgent care and guess what… Positive for RSV! Finally got some steroids as well as antibiotics because they suspect I’m dealing with both because of the severity/symptoms/and my history, and I’m high risk. I’ve had to go the ER for a lung infection before that I didn’t get treated in time, so I’m very glad I was smart enough not to trust this woman because if I had went without meds I’d end up with bronchitis. I will say though I was here once before to get a Covid test because I was exposed to my family that had it, and I had a very caring doctor that was very concerned about my high heart rate and recommended that I see a cardiologist, he was very professional and kind, didn’t belittle me whatsoever. Wish I could remember his name. That being said when you’re going to urgent care you never know who you’re going to get, and you also don’t know if the person swabbing you is going to do it correctly. Go to golden valley! Next thing I’m doing once I’m better is getting an RSV vaccination, it’s going around right now."
"I have found at AFC something I have never encountered at any other doctors office. Most doctors tell you the harsh truths harshly. Like they think talking down to you will make it sink in more, but they really just make you feel like you are the mess they have to clean up. Words that are true and you know you should do better but you leave feeling worse than before. Andrea Hansen is a model for what a doctor should be. She takes the time to know and remember her patients. That alone is pretty impressive to me. But, she is also honest and tells the hard truths and she does it with kindness and respect. She has already helped me on my journey to better health. She has encouraged me and been my cheer leader. She is the kind of person that makes you want to be better and do better. Thank you Dr. Hansen. I wish there were many more like you. God bless you and keep you."
"Kelly Polley is the best! She has always treated my family like her own. She is very thorough and very professional. All the staff there is very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend AFC, especially Kelly Polley!!"
"Have brought my kids and myself to AFC multiple times. Also have used their telemedicine feature, which is a lifesaver when you or the kids don't feel well and don't want to get out. Always thorough and not afraid to send off for tests if needed."
"I had a cough and the big sign on the door said to call before going in. I called the number and listened to 3-4 minutes of options before getting to the last one, which said to hold on the line or press 0 to talk to a person. I held on the line and the whole menu started over again. I pressed 0 and it rang and rang until a message saying there was no answer. Wearing a mask, I went in because there didn't seem to be a choice. The woman at the desk was rude, sarcastic, and condescending. Coughing was better than putting up with that attitude, so I left."
