"I started seeing Dr Williams after my other psychiatrist retired in July. I loved my old psychiatrist but am now thankful that he guided me to Dr Williams! He is very knowledgeable about medicine and has helped me tremendously! He is very kind and caring! I have anxiety, depression, ptsd, and ADHD that he treats. Never once have I had to go without medication and his office (White Oak) gives you an email address first thing when you call to email if you need anything medication related. Today I needed a prior authorization and emailed about it and got a response within 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend!!!!"
"My amazing psychiatrist had retired and I spent so much time trying to find a new one which if you have done this you know is very, very difficult these days. Dr. Williams wasn't ever very personable at our two or three visits. However, I felt like he would be a good doctor as he seemed to know his stuff. However, the facility he works for has a policy not to respond to pharmacies for medication refill requests. They just throw them away!! What?!?! I was very frustrated with this because my pharmacy had sent multiple requests over a week's time and hadn't heard from the doctor's office.Today, after speaking to my pharmacy, I wrote an email with the subject "URGENT" (they don't typically get emails or calls to the doctor's quickly) and let them know that I was VERY frustrated and needed to get my refill since I had now been without meds for 2 days. A young lady from the facility called me when they opened and I told her that while I understood it was NOT HER FAULT, but rather it was policy and that I wasn't mad at her I was extremely frustrated by the fact that they didn't at least contact me to say that they had received multiple faxes or something to that effect. The doctor took the phone from here and immediately STARTED YELLING AT ME. I was shocked! He said that I was yelling at her because he could hear me throught he phone. I reminded him that you can hear people all the time through phones and told him he should've asked her because I was absolutely not yelling and had even told her that I knew it wasn't her fault and that I was frustrated. He then proceeded to continue yelling at me and telling me that it's my responsibility and that I didn't make an appointment when I was supposed to. I told him I understood that and that I had a death in the family and a surgery and some other things that caused it to slip my mind. I didn't even realize it had been that long. I also told him I had never been responsible for doing this before since in the past my pharmacy has always faxed a request to my physician or previous psychiatrist and they would then fax a refill back. He started being very condescending asking if I had never been to the doctor before 2006 when everything was digitalized. At this point I am angry and yelling back at him while crying because I was being yelled at. I told him that it was the same process because the doctor faxed their hand written scripts after the pharmacy called and left a refill request. Bottom line, you do not yell at a patient like that. Period. Particularly one who is mentally ill and has not been on meds for two days just because YOU THINK they were yelling at someone else (or for any matter). Then, continue to yell even when you they've explained they weren't yelling. This is not the first issue I have had with this facility, so ultimately, I told him to tell me what I needed to do to get my refill and I would be separating from their facility and him. He said he would just call in a 30 day supply and we could be done with each other. I said awesome, let him know he was a d*ck (it needed to be said) and hung up. Due to lack of care and professionalism I do not recommend him nor White Oak Psychiatric Services. Ever. Period."
